What you're proposing is that it go like this:

You: Hi, can I get a cone of chocolate ice cream?
Me: I'm sorry, our chocolate ice cream machine isn't working at the moment, but I can still do vanilla ice cream.
You: But Why is is broken? What happened to the machine? Can you explain to me exactly what it was that caused the machine to not work?

Do you realize why I'm saying he doesn't have to explain specifics? No business is going to go out of it's way to explain in detail exactly what happened, because it ultimately Doesn't Matter. They apologized for it not being available when they expected it to be, they even told us a bit as to why. But they aren't going to go into detail about the situation. It not that it isn't good business, it's just None of our business.

No one is demanding he answer these questions; it's completely up to him how much detail he wants to divulge. You're almost implying we're an angry mob looking for answers when in reality we're just curious about the situation. I like your analogy, though.

Funny thing is, there are people out there who create those situations. Some people like to be nosey.

I think people are confusing "production issue" to be "bandai messed up" --> people want to know how/what happened and to make sure it won't happen again.

Production issue = the people who actually produce the cards messed up --> bandai had nothing to do with it & was not at fault.

Could bandai have planned around this specific production issue or given more time between finishing the set and producing it? Maybe, it would be nice if they did, but there's always going to be something you didn't account for and sometimes the solutions just aren't viable. This was not bandai's fault this time. It sucks that it happened and we will have to live with the consequences, but it's not their fault.
