Inconsistent Rulings (n1098 & n1073)

I feel the need to point out an inconsistency I notice amoung two different rulings on when a ninja is "discarded."

Ruling #1 (http://www.bandai.com/naruto/showthread.php?t=94084&highlight=nagato+childhood):It was stated that nagato childhood is moved to chakra when he is discarded from anywhere, including from the showdown. This ruling highlights that "discarded" simply means moved to the discard pile from anywhere.

Ruling #2 (http://www.bandai.com/naruto/showthread.php?t=93386&highlight=removed+play): It was stated that Yahiko's "dicard" effect ONLY activates when he is discarded from hand, and nowhere else. The basis of this ruling is that if the card says "discarded" and nothing else, it means from hand only.

The inconsistency with these ruling is that both of these cards include "when this ninja is discarded..." and nothing else, but each have a separate ruling attached to them.

Which is correct?

The errata on Yahiko states that when this Ninja card is discarded, meaning from the hand, or sacrificed. That is why the variance exists.
