Combination Effect

For justu with combination effect such as J-793, do both the effects apply? That is for N-793, if the team has a "medical" ninja, do you heal the target and also get to draw 1 card? Or is it like expert effect where you only apply the 2nd effect?

Combination and Expert are the same in that you apply the combination/expert effect if you meet the conditions on top of the regular effects.

The only time this isn't true is when the combination/expert effect replaces part of the original text. These will usually use the word instead.
