so given that the sjc is on the 23rd, does anyone want to have the chuunin on the 3rd, 10th, or 17th of June? Also, please say which date you prefer in your response. I think i'm preferential to the 17th or 10th. I will also talk to Adam about not having an event on the 1st of July (locals after chuunin's never go over well).

For those who do not know, there will be a SJC on June 23rd at game parlor in Chantily, VA, and a chuunin there on June30th. The SJC will not be set 25 legal, but will be legal for the set 25 starters. The chuunin on the 30th at game parlor will be legal for both set 25 and the starters.

I'd prefer our chunin to have set 25 legal so that we may continue to playtest for gencon. Having a chunin with this same format is uninteresting to my team(which usually makes up half the chunin lol),which all of them want to attend since we worked so hard to get it.

Agreed with above. If we can have set 25 legal I like the 10th the best but would be flexible to all dates if necessary. Defitnately would have to start on TIME though.

don't think set 25 will be possible in June, especially on the 10th, as the set wouldn't have even been released for a week.

edit: nm, didn't see the post above bankai's :S, though the 10th of july is not a weekend

Lol just be like the rest of us and proxy test. You will know what is good before it comes out. Helps to focus on what cards you need to get from the next set instead of getting everything

Oh, I am. But I think there is a issue with holding an event with the cards less than a week after it was first possible to get the cards ^^

I have news.

The bad news: bandai is "at its limits" for qtr 2 chuunins -- aka, we will not be getting one

The good news: qtr3 chuunins are for July-September; which is when it seems like we were thinking of having it anyways

The good news: We are "top priority" for Qtr3 chuunins (not sure if it means much, but we WILL have a qtr3 chuunin).

While this was partially out of my hands, I do apologize for not following up on this earlier. I did not realize the end of qrtr2 was the end of this month, and I checked in with Andy earlier this week instead of last week. While I don't think it made the difference, it couldn't have hurt, and i'll make sure to follow up sooner in the future. With that said, do we still want to have our chuunin in July or do we want to have it closer to gencon in August?

July 1st is the day after the chuunin in VA, so that one isn't happening and we probably won't have an event that day at all (back to back events have shown to have poor attendance). That chuunin also uses set 25. July 7th and 8th are probably both doable, but personally I would prefer a local in between the VA chuunin and our Chuunin to give time to test, so my vote would be for the 20th.
