As a northern Oregon resident, I would guess that somewhere between 40-60 people will show. Sad.

Seriously, since Rainy Day Games is my regular store, you have no idea how depressing it is that my store, which averaged 9-10 people when the game was POPULAR is getting a SJC.

I'm thinking more around 20-40 if you are averaging 9-10 when it was popular. We know that 8-10 California players are coming.

36 people tops.

Winning deck is either X/Void (Something splashing Push basically) or something based around Guren/Deidara. Those are my predictions.

Comments like this make me wonder if I am missing something. I do not see how those decks could beat lightning/x.

Awww. Thought it was next month.

*Yodaz: Lightning/X can clearly splash Void can it not? As for the Deidara comment, I can't see how a Dark Strike Fighter-esque card isn't going to be abused down the line.

hm, maybe, lots of interesting stuff that would need to be worked out curve wise, but i see your point.

As far as deidara, I can see him working, but I feel the overwhelming story is that you cannot do much without lightning. He' too late in the game to be the main thing holding a deck up and other elements don't have enough support. When the other elements can play, I could see it getting there, but that's a few months down the road.

Deidara isn't half as powerful as DSF.

You can't drop Deidara turn 1, can't use Deidara multiple times, you don't have mass PIP, and you don't have mass search for those PIP monsters. He's a great card, no doubt, but doesn't compare at all to DSF other than the fact he kills a card for an effect. DSF was broken, Deidara isn't.

I also completely disagree with your addressing of the format. I don't think Push is worth splashing, even with the new pain.

I agree I don't think push is worth splashing even with the new pain. Push is good sure but not broken where you need to splash it there are a lot more broken cards worth running over push and deva.

what does "splash" mean when talking about an element that can use everything as a hand cost? I thought that means it could be put in all decks?
