Making Tylar type all of this is delaying our Rogue List release... The one thing I would've really liked though is the name "The World Shikamaru Only Knows". None of the Sannin/SJC cards have had flavor from the winner. That would've been cool to see.

Actually Thomas's other card had flavor. The surname was supposed to be [Leaf's Uncowed Elite], where you can see TCao's name indirectly used, and Josh's alt account. It was, as you know, changed. Cute word there, Uncowed.

None of those "deadlines" actually came with a date attached. All the e-mail string shows is Alex mentioning that these deadlines exist (the only hard deadline mention is for selection of elements and initial card concept for 9/11). Nowhere is there a deadline mentioned for "we are sending stuff to licensor, stuff can't be changed after this."

The initial e-mail clearly labels the cards as ideas, not as anything final.

As of 9/19 the card was still able to search for any card.

I'm not exactly sure how hard it is to send an e-mail asking "hey one of the names we sent in the last one is wrong, it should be X instead of Y, fix pls?" I work in a gigantic multinational corporation with ridiculous bureaucracy and our legal isn't even that anal.

And Alex didn't even say anything about not being able to change the name - he said he "can't promise it." From my communication with Thomas, he was under the impression that you guys were actively working to get it changed rather than just sitting around and doing nothing so you could pull it out of your *** later on as an excuse.

3 Sannin cards in a row that you can't get right? I don't think it's a problem on our end.

Looking forward to either the promo version with everything done right or the Danzo we get to make.

I did ask to change the name, which I would have to then:

1) Push it thru legal to get it re-approved, delaying the set by 2 weeks.
2) Resend to the licensor, delaying the set by 1 week.

If you guys wanted to reserve the name for the future, you made 0 indication of this. Had you made this indication, I would run it by legal to make sure I'm not copying from the manga I know your getting it from, then add it if it was okay. If you wish to continue this conversation, I would suggest PMing me, but at this point there isn't anything I can do about it.

To be honest, I don't even really care about the effect. It's underpowered compared to the other Sannin cards but at least it's semi-playable as opposed to the last disaster.

It's just incredibly frustrating how the only thing we wanted out of this one was to have the name, art, and flavor text done right (we figured you were going to screw us on the effect) and we can't even get those.

I find that hard to believe. Like I said, I work in a massive corporate bureaucracy... 3 weeks? My ***.

And it's not like we didn't offer to switch to Set 25 in an effort to keep everyone happy (your set doesn't get delayed, we get the card we wanted). But you led us to believe that there was actually a possibility that the card name, art, and flavor would get changed - contrary to what you are presenting here.
