So... in order to promote the game, you lowered the prize pool... Now my area's chunins are gonna get like NO prizing... fun.

Get more people into the game by offering them less incentive...not sure if stupid or just trolling. Not to sound too harsh or anything but seriously? Is this the best way you could come up with to get more players? Come to locals or get garbage chunins?
Im just gonna rattle off a couple better ways to get people into the game:
Thats just the tip of the iceberg there is so much potential for some of the aspects you have that are just untapped. Last edited by pyrot53 : 12-07-2011 at 02:49 PM. |

You're not gonna get more players by giving the current players even less prizing. That's just gonna push people away from these tournaments as well. |

I don't know how these are exciting new changes at all...
A lot of the newer players are easily discouraged because a lot of the same people top all the time. They don't mind playing the chunnins though because they believe they had a solid chance of getting top 8 and winning at least a mat. With mats not being offered to all of top 8 until a level 6 chunnin, (which you stated yourself that only 1 venue probably qualifies for level 5) this harshly discourages incoming players. I understand that Bandai offers free prize support for these events, and it is very nice, but cutting the prize support so drastically for a game that is struggling is not a good business decision imho. |

Just get the ranking system to work, and give the like top 100 prizes at the end of 2 quarters of something.

That. and... I am kinda happy about the whole leveling up your store idea. but even at lvl 6....the prizing is just packs....as a player if i won with my deck, thats because my deck is as good as it can be already, i dont need any more cards...I dont want cards as a main prize...I want uniqueness, something that only I will have...The pin? Thats it? some thing that i cant put into use, and not even brag about as a trophy because of how insignificant it looks. I would love to see, special dices, sleeves, deck boxes, mats, PROMOS? LIKE ALT RARES? all unique stuff be given rather than just 50 packs of cards. so overall...I like the leveling up your store idea which will increase attendance, but the prizes are still real real bad...just not enough hype around the tournament....we need hype... |
