Just started playing, so someone tell me what a 9pd deck is? And since new cards have been revealed I heard earth cards are all the rage.

Don't listen to the people that say "9pd". They base their cards around one deck. Side in either chakra hate (aim for the wind), jutsu hate, or hand control and they have to scoop.
There's Fire (or Wind/Fire) mill, but playing that at a high-level tournament will get you nothing but hate and you'll never land in a team with the mill-player attitude. Plus nobody's dumb enough to forget anti-mill in their sideboard. There's Water/Lightning. That's basically all the good cards from the format in a pile, chopped to 50, and sleeved. You'll always get top 8 if you run this. Bandai fed Water/Lightning the best cards and mechanics. There's Earth, but it's not top tier. It'll be fun to play and it can splash stuff, but it's just not solid enough. There's vanilla. Lol. Void... I run Void. It's pretty harsh, but W/L still takes it out back and makes it a man. |

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I made a mill deck and we got the Naruto Invasion starter deck for my friend who is new.
Why is mill so frowned upon? I don't get it. If you can side deck against it, then what's the big deal? It's fun to play mill. I'd rather stick away from Lightning/Water, seeing as how almost everyone relies on it. Hearing all this discourages me slightly from going to a tournament. I also made a vanilla deck, now is that wrong? ![]() |
