CA Chunin Tournament Dates

Hello, this is the Meijin for Krier's Cards & Comics in Modesto, CA. I was just wondering when Paladin Game Castle in Bakersfield, CA was planning to hold their Chunin event. Some of my players are planning to head over to Bakersfield to enter the Chunin Tournament and I don't want to accidentally hold our Chunin on the same weekend as yours. We are planning to hold ours on a Saturday in September. Please let me know when you are planning to hold your Chunin by posting either here or on the Bandai Meijin Forums. Thank you.

Please hold it on a Saturday that's not the 3rd or 10th, because SacAnime is on the 3rd and I'm out of town on the 10th. Please? I vote for Sept 24 right now.

Also... you guys have players at your store that aren't Amir? Since when do you have tournaments?

They're obviously trying new things, If I go you have to sign my holo reunions because I didn't run into you at comiccon

Of course I'll be at the Modesto Chunin, unless there's a major conflict like those first two weekends. I've been hard at work on my deck and buying way too many singles off T&T to cover all angles of the two decks I'm looking at.

I was at the Bandai room nearly every day for a few hours to slow the day down during Comic-Con. They need to reprint Reunion, or at least, make a new card with Reunion with the Former Teacher as the title, just because.

Stayed all day in the Bandai room? Now that's a waste of Comic-Con time. I felt bad staying there to even play in one of the sealed tournaments.

I can guarantee you I was there for part of the time since according to my facebook photo album, I won one of the Battle Spirits mats on Saturday. I spent most of Saturday afternoon running around for autographs at the con and downtown at the AT&T store, so I would have had to been in the room around noonish.

Well I live in San Diego, so its not like I don't go to comic con every year, after 3 days of straight walking I wanted to just sit and chill somewhere for once.

Hello, I am working on a date for the Chunin
We can't really do September 3rd because that is Strategicon,
September 10th is Magic Celebration day
We could do September 17th.
We can't do the 24th because that weekend is the Magic Innistrad PRE Release. We could do dates in October also.

Saturday, September 24th sounds like it works for everyone. I will try to hold it on that date. I will post here if anything changes.

We hold smaller tournaments nowadays. About 6-8 people. We've had some people show up from Lodi which gave us a turnout of about 15 people. Amir hasn't been here since last year.
