So are you actually arguing that a "Skilled player" would not play a ninja without effect text, because he would instead growth effect ninjas or effects that pump their ninjas?

the only reason that we ran garra childhood is because we got a draw off of him before you go into gaara and temari.(Funny thing-When i read the post, it sounded like they were coming out with another gaara and temari squad). But since the squad is now out of the format, the childhood gaara wiill cease play(an don't think that because he has surge that you will run him over vannilla because surge theme is rotating out so no draws or negates for you).

I think temari vannilla sucks and the zero drop will continued to be ran until the next block. Gaara might be run since we do lose advisor of the sand and sakura booksmarts. but i"m not a fan of ninjas on turn 1 and 2 with no support since those ninjas are supposed to support your turn 0 ninja.

Soooo I heard drawing cards was good. Pretty sure both Temari [Excellent Tactician] and Gaara (Childhood) will be staples since they're awesomely busted for 0-drops. You don't even need the silly squad for both of those cards to be fantastic and they'll probably be played til NEXT rotation. These textless ones will only be used if someone decides they'd rather have Earth/Wind textless as opposed to Earth/Fire. Or maybe the textless missions from this set will have a Wind Hand cost. I doubt it though since last set's missions didn't have a hand cost. I hope Clash's effect stays the same or Textless loses a majority of it's draw power.

I like the Temari. I will definitely have to run two of each of Ino and her in my no effect text deck. The Gaara I will probably never use just because Gaara Childhood is way better.
