Templating activated effects
Apparently, based on the new Deidara, bandai is begining to template activated effects, to keep them from being confused with other types of effects. using "[Timing] Cost: Effect" is pretty smart in my opinion, and will only serve to remove confusuing text from the game. What does everyone else think of this change?

Highly welcomed.
People are still confused on effects like Kurenai GR and Kakashi DotM and they should work on clearly those issues up and making it so future issues do not arise. |

Amazing move. Makes it easier to introduce new effects with more space.

One of the better things they have done for the game.

Very good idea, makes it easier to understand for everyone. Like said above, one of the best things done to this game imo.

Personally, i'd like to see them stick with a template and rulings for more than 2 years (even 1 maybe?). Also making sure judges at high lvl events know their rulings would be nice. I value consistency over improvement. But yes, this is obviously an improvement and better for the game/attracting new people, even if it DOES mean everyone will be confused up the wazoo, AGAIN, resulting in more ppl qqing.
tl;dr Yes, good. Consistency better. |

When I saw Deidara, I went O_O. It's Dragon Ball templating. Some of my students thought it looked cool.
The Dragon Ball template is one of the best I've seen, and I'm glad it finally migrated over because it's a whole lot easier to recognize. I'd like to see some heavily played cards (in block and unlimited) reprinted with this template. Something like: Naruto Uzumaki [Control of Power] [EOJ]Discard the top two cards of your deck: This Ninja gets +1/+0 until the end of turn. You may use this effect three times per turn. |
