The Sharingan can see chakra, which is how Sasuke saw Deidara's spores.
Sasuke has a very good chance, seeing as he has a huge speed advantage on Kankurou at 3.5 to 2.5, which is before the Cursed Seal. Even at level one, we saw a huge speed boost against Zaku, easily a point or more. Throw in level two and Sasuke would be moving far faster than Kankurou could possibly handle. Also, the element of surprise has been what has landed Kankurou his wins for the most part. Sasuke kind of defeats that by being able to see the strings, so it would be hard to trap him. The main thing Kankurou could use to combat Sasuke is Sasori, so it really comes down to how he's fair against that. Considering that the majority of Kankurou's offensive capabilities are projectiles and other ranged attacks, I believe Sasuke would have ample opportunity to counter or dodge them. Really, all he needs is to land a Chidori through the chest and Kankurou would be finished, which is an easy task with his speed and enhanced vision. |

2. who said kank was the real kank? he could easily be 1 of the black ants, and when sasuke comes in for chidori, he gets trapped and gg. |

2. Considering that Kankurou keeps his puppets in scrolls, Kankurou is the real Kankurou. Even if it was a puppet, Sasuke would be able to see the strings attached to it and not run into it. Sasuke isn't an idiot. |

2. didn't cross my mind that he would be able to notice if kank wasn't kank. you are right in that case. |

being made of wood isn't really an issue, fireball has a good amount of force behind it. enough to cause craters

sasuke has a pretty big edge at the start. for an uncertain amount of time he'll be fighting a puppetless puppeteer. even before the curse mark sasuke is physically superior to kankuro, add in state 1 or 2 and the difference would be staggering. but kankuro probably would get the puppets out, and when he does he'll have an advantage of numbers. sasuke is no stranger to fighting numbers thanks to his friend naruto, and we've seen he handles numbers pretty well. since they start in the open in front of eachother, kankuro can't fight to his fullest. seems someone like him would benifit more to being prepared and having things set up. not that he can't fight in the open, he recently did against sasori and company, though he had teammates. but even against that guy in the chuunin exams he started inside of his puppet container. and against shino he went for shelter as soon as possible to attack from the shadows. he doesn't have that luxery against sasuke. however his puppets are indeed dangerous. if he gets cut by crow or sasori its pretty much auto win for kankuro unless sasuke can chidori his head off before the poison kicks in. fighting against two poisonous foes, a shield, and a, well, net will be very dangerous. the smallest breaking of skin causes him to lose
thats why i give it to kankuro. sasuke is good, overall probably etter than kank. but kanks win condition seems much easier than sasuke. how long can sasuke keep being "perfect". i mean if he gets swarmed he can only avoid physical contact for so long. worse yet, that poison isnt ninjutsu, and he never saw kank fight using poison and he's never seen sasori either. he might think its ok to take some amount of damage. whats a small cut versus wasted energy afterall. or at the very elast he'll be less wary. to be honest i disagree with people only knowing ninjutsu and genjutsu. i get that being a ninja involves deception and stuff, and that revealing everything can almost completely screw some people. but it gives the taijutsu and weapon specialists a pretty big advantage seeing as they will know pretty much everything the ninjutsu and genjutsu guys can throw at them. at the very least perhaps they should also be given their stats? then at least they can see if the person is skilled in taijutsu or very fast or strong. and of course they should be given their own stat sheets for comparison. what good is knowing someone is a 3 in strength after all haha. but knowing they are a 3 and you are a, say, 4 shows that you are stronger. and, without knowing what kind, what potency, and how its administured, if they use poison at all. so dont say "kankuro uses poison withing his two attacking puppets blades. and the poison is lethal" just say "kankuro uses poison" so they at least know to watch out for it. also, does the info given to the contestants get very detailed? like against kakashi would it say "jutsu's: lightning blade..." or would it explain the jutsu somewhat? tl;dr version: kank wins because he has an easier win condition. and i believe a bit more info should be given to the contestants, such as stats and if they use poison or not. |
