Kakashi Cup: Round 2 Uzumaki Naruto vs. Hyuuga Neji

For the rules and scenario, go here. This thread will contain only new information.

Neji:
Neji is at full power, healed to 100% after his battle with his clone. No restrictions.

Naruto:
Naruto is at full power, healed to 100% after his battle with Sasuke at the Valley of the End. No summoning and 100 clone limit. Clones cannot use Kyuubi chakra.

Neji and Gaara won in the Naruto and Kakashi Cups, respectively.

This Neji has a significant amount of experience over Naruto, will that be enough to tip the scales in his favor? The fated clash begins.

Doesn't that seem a little unfair? The conditions basically make Naruto a true Genin and Neji is a Jonin at this part. Not complaining or aything i just wanna know.

this fight's unfair. You shouldve put naruto to 100% after his battle with kakashi in the shippuden arc.

even 2k clones wouldn't help naruto win under these cir****tances. this neji can stand up to shippuden naruto just fine (before sage/rasenshuriken etc.) so little naruto isn't even a challenge. even with 1 tail of kyuubi chakra, his speed is slower than neji, ergo, he won't even hit him. especially since this neji has 'ranged' melee with air palm and his rotation and sight with byakugan are both improved.

I'm inclined to disagree.

That's debatable.

That's not necessarilly true. When he fought Sasuke, who was a 3.5 in speed, Sasuke could only counter Naruto with no tails because he had the three tomoe Sharingan and once Naruto went one tail, it seemed like Sasuke was struggling to keep up, even with three tomoe. I could easily see that putting Naruto at 4.5 speed with one tail, the same as Neji. Considering that the majority of Neji's attacks would be all but useless against Naruto with one tail, it's entirely possible that he has the ability to get in a good hit. Honestly, all he needs is a Rasengan to have this one in the bag. I think this is a close match either way and Naruto is being discounted because he's younger.

Air Palm is just a ranged attack, those aren't that hard to dodge or counter. The improved Byakugan likely wouldn't change much, and Naruto was able to beat the Heavenly Spin back in the Chuunin Exams, so it shouldn't be a problem when he's even faster. I think everyone is severely underestimating the power of one tail.

Sasuke was having trouble with naruto because the chakra was attacking him as well.

When ever naruto punched it was like getting punched twice cause the nine tail chakra followed behind his fist.

not to mention I believe he can go to atleast 3 tails at this point.

plus I believe Rasengan and Rotation are equal so neji and naruto are about even with neji having a advantage in terms ability and skill.

then again naruto has proven he is full of tricks and his shenanigans never end.

I thought sasuke was still a 3 in speed at the waterfall. my bad. He kept up with naruto for the most part in taijutsu until he used nine tails chakra. it's not like he was being dominated entirely. still, naruto being 4.5 is iffy. as for using the 1 tail chakra, he can't keep it up all day, and neji doesn't use much chakra. Plus, naruto can't sneak attack him, so naruto's general element of surprise is gone. none of the clones stand a chance at hitting neji, since neji can see them and see which ones are clones unless naruto decides for some reason to NOT use kyuubi chakra. naruto used anywhere between 20-35 clones or so in the chunin exams, and neji didn't even get touched. his speed has gone up considerably from then, while naruto hasn't gotten much faster. naruto's only chance (basically) to hit him is to use the 1 tail, which neji just has to outlast. naruto can put up a fight yes, but I don't see him winning.

I don't think tailed beast mode has a limit, I believe from the evidence in the manga the longer you use it the more tails that develop (in naruto's case) I think it would be bad for neji to let that happen.

though this naruto is currently limited to one tail, regardless of whether that is true or not. if he goes beyond that, he would be disqualified, as I'm sure that it would breach the realm of possibility of a fair fight.
