I don't know, I still don't see the summon ninjutsu going through the sand dome, it will weaken but I see it standing at the end of it

The only chance Temari gets is if she can hit Gaara with her weasel summon without Gaara not in the sand dome, but Gaara will most likely just stay in there, have his third eye out and start flying sand around until sand burial
The dome takes up, seemingly, pretty much all his sand. If he has it up he will be limited to his attacks. Not that he CAN'T attack, but he certainly wont be surrounding her. It would be a pretty limited amount, and much more manageable. Thing is that her attack takes some amount of set up. Not huge, but its there. If i were him I would fight normally with just the shield and armor until i see her starting to set up, then make the dome and prey it doesn't break...cuz that attack has a HUGE AoE, so i don't think its a matter of escaping, but blocking it.

But personally I think her attack would break through. Which is why i think that in this case, the best defense is a good offense. Stay on her and don't get her the time. Tire her out. Then go for the kill.

This is very much a OHKO fight imo. Either she gets coffin'd or he gets...her big level everything in the area no jutsu <i can never remember that things name>.

ok first off

REALLY! Gaara vs Temari

Ok next I gotta say Gaara can create his own sand so its only inevitable, He'll pull a Kimi on Temari.

Temari may know how Gaara fights, but can she really resist it?
As far as we know, the only 2 things that have ever gotten through Gaara barrier is Chidori and Rasengan(don't know if movies count).

Literally nothing we know has been able to stop Gaara's sand.
Unless Temari can create a form of sustainable hurricane force winds, she isn't stopping Gaara.

Nope. Hasn't learned it yet

They don't

There is no way that Temari wins this. We haven't seen her create a wind blast that would be piercing enough to cut through Gaara's barriers. Most of her shots have been erratic area attacks, short of Wind Weasel. Gaara wouldn't let her use it anyway. Even if he did, the weasel's damage is awfully spread out, while extreme direct impact is needed to pierce the shield.

Gaara wins.

it certainly wouldnt be easy, but "no way" is going kinda far. potentially pretty much anyone can beat anyone else, if only because of luck. i mean, i know what your intentions behind that comment was, but thats quite a pessimistic, and imo wrong, way of looking at it

i stand by that if she can hit him with her weasel summon destroy everything in the area no jutsu, then she can win. no, scratch that. i think she would definitely win. the problem would be getting the set up time...its not impossible but she can't afford any mistakes and something like that is almost too much to ask for against someone like gaara. she's only about as fast as the sand, give or take. running backwards is slower than forwards so back tracking while trying to slow the sand down with wind is dangerous since she'll be slower for a moment. especially when she actually swings her fan

a shame. she has one shot, but i think that one shot is too difficult to conclusively give her the match

Look at when Temari killed Tayuya with the weasel. The killing blow was never dealt with the wind, but the trees that hit her from the wind. The area damage seemed very erratic, hitting random areas. Yes, it annihilated those random areas, but when a strong direct and accurate impact is needed, even Weasel doesn't fit the bill.

annihilated random areas? the entire area of forest they were in was annihilated. she went all paul bunyon on tayuyas butt XD

and you have no idea whats "needed" to break gaaras defense. its only been used once and we didn't get any indication of its power other than it being his strongest defense. your basing your theory off of baseless gaara crotch riding =/

and you also have no idea what made the "killing blow". i dont remember what brought it up, but earlier in the tournament <or perhaps before hand, when deciding who was going to be in which tier> i was discussing something with nathan and/or kelvin, and it caused me to look up temari's fight with tayuya and at the end she's laying ontop a tree...if you look carefully, the lower 1/2 of her body is not visible...it might not be there. and considering those trees, i would personally guess its not there. it is quite possible, even likely, that she got cut in half. not to say it's for sure, but theres as much, if not more, reason to believe that was the killing blow then getting hit by a tree. i mean ninja in this show have been shown to be able to handle plenty of blunt force and survive, but cutting effects them the same way it effects everyone

or heck, maybe both happened and she was super screwed and her dead body was just having a lousy day . i mean when there are trees falling everywhere as well as blades of wind flying around...its a tough call as to what truly killed her. dwelling on what finished her is silly. either way her cause of death was temari ^_^

im not even quite sure you are arguing. the thread is clearly in gaaras favor. I'm in gaaras favor. the post you quoted of mine was in gaaras favor.

why are people so against the notion of someone just standing a CHANCE against gaara?

Any given Sunday. Temari could win, under perfect cir****tances. Those cir****tances aren't here right now. In an enviorment that Temari has the advantage, she could win. But not here. Not when both fighters start within eye contact of each other.

Yeah, Tayuya might have been cut in two by the blades. She also might have been crushed by the flying wood. Hell she may even be alive, as one doujin guessed (don't look too far into that one, though the ending is funny). There is no information to back up any cause of death. Hell, she could have had a heart attack during the blast.

But from my perspective, I saw the first few dozen trees get chopped to pieces, and then the trees knocked over the trees behind them, which knocked over the trees behind them.

I'm not saying the Temari could never beat Gaara, but under these cir****tances she can't.

then why exactly are you arguing with me?

I'm taking a three day break from arguing about anything anime. I plan to watch Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, NGE, and Blood+ back-to-back to get the horror out of my head that Zac Efron is playing Akira in a PG-13 remake of the original.

My mind is full of ****.
