What's with the inability for mainstream manga writers letting characters die?

so, judging from the wording, kabuto's version of edo tensei doesn't bring back weakened versions of the dead like oro's, but full power/nearly full power huh? interesting. looks like a chance for some honest rematches

dunno how deidara is gonna help really. i mean it seems rather hard to harm bee when he's 8 tails <or a bit lower>, and same with naruto assuming his "super saiyan" form gives him some defense the way the fox cloak did. someone like itachi would have been better i think
since when has orochimaru's edo tensei summoned weakened versions. IIRC the 3rd hokage said that the 1st and 2nd were just as strong as they were when they were alive. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he said something to that effect.

i don't recall hiruzen saying something like that, but im far too lazy to check. i really wanna say i heard somewhere that when you edo tensei, it brings back weaker versions. but it was a while ago and i don't remember the source, and, again, im far too lazy

but it makes sense. i mean god of shinobi or not, the dudes old. his skills are supreme, but physically he's pretty meh in his old age. beating oro by himself would have been challenging. he may have had to resort to summoning the god of death anyway <though he would have had more chakra and probably could have killed oro right there. or at least taken more than his arms>. but fighting against 3 kage level opponents at once?

maybe 20 or so years ago, but not the way he was then. they weren't WEAK, but they were weakened. assuming of course they were weakened at all. though tbh if that was them unrestricted, im not super impressed. i would have expected more out of hokage's. especially out of the first hokage after what we've learned in the past 100 or so chapters. he sounded like a beast.

but it doesn't really matter since i misunderstood and the difference between kabuto's and oro's is that oro had 100% control of who he revived while kabuto opted to let them <or at least deidara> control their own actions <though still aligned with kabuto im sure>

you have to remember, the abilities and skill level of ninjas in the original series is very different from Shippuden. I feel like EVERYONE (old, young, dead or alive) is stronger in Shippuden than the original series.

You know it's the same series, right?

do you have a better way to label the 2 different parts?

No duh it's all the same story, but haven't you noticed that everyone is able to do much more than they were before Shippuden? I'm not just talking about the kids.

Time has progressed and they are active soldiers; it's no wonder they have all gotten stronger. The progression seems fairly rational to me. Besides, it's not like this level of power didn't exist before, we just only saw glimpses of it because we've basically seen the story from Naruto's frame of reference and he was just a puny kid.
