Ninja Mafia VII: When it Rains... (Gameplay Thread)

...Some time before the Disaster of the Nine-Tailed Fox in Konoha...

The sun rises over Amegakure... and it is never noticed for the dark clouds that always hang over the Land of Rain conceal it. The village of Amegakure is much more then it's other relatives in size and advancement. It's building stand tall and ominous over each other shrouded only by one building. That building houses the leadership of Amegakure and its most prestigious village members, the rain ninjas.

It has been a long time since the last war crossed the Land of Rain, besieging its territory and its people... but that time is not long to last. Despite the somewhat peaceful times, there was still a feud to be had among the people. The Akatsuki began to form here in Amegakure not to long ago, with the intent of peace, but that has not happened and now it is very much an internal war with its own people.

8 men in the standard Rain nin uniform stand guard on separate ledges of tall buildings overlooking the city. The masks of the Rain ninjas dripping with the omnipresent drizzle of the dark clouds above. They almost seem to flinch as a group of Rain nin swoosh by, around 9 in total in total towards the large building in the center of the industrialized village. a few stop to talk to the men on duty...

"Hahonryuu , you've been called to the palace for an important meeting... make sure to tell Sharingan Warrior5693, Canti08, MinatoNamikaze, Wolfwood, Gotta Catch 'Em All, Nogard, and Shino'sDad with you... I'll send messengers to insure the remaining group of night guards are assembled."
Hahonryuu nods and leaps across a large building gap to one of his fellow guard patrol, they speak for a moment and then are seen dashing across roofs and ledges and spaces of air between them to reach their comrades who follow suit and they dash off toward the main building leaving the three who took their place to their own means.

The three regroup on a rooftop and begin to converse...
"Well VSA we've acquired the second group for the inspection, shall we check the lists to make sure?" says one of the two crouched ninjas looking up at a standing one under an umbrella. He looks down and pulls out two scrolls and tosses one to each of the nin.
"Make sure these nin are present in the main house. Not one of them is pardoned from this under any cir****tances."

The two nin look at each other and unfurl the scrolls as rain begins to slow above them to a slight mist. Each had a list of 20 people on them. The nin who had already been called to the main house were listed as such...

...Shortly past the midnight rains...

All of the nin were gathered and standing in the main hall of the building wondering what the reason for this meeting was. Some had been told inspection, some said an important mission, others were told nothing at all except where to be. They grew quiet as the three Rain affiliated messenger ninjas walk into the room and stand among them. One folds his umbrella and slides it over his shoulder into its carrying case as he begins to speak.
"In the last few days a store house was attacked by the Konoha Root. It was believed to be housing our local remnants of civil unrest... the Akatsuki." he paused for a moment as his speech was interrupted by gasps and confused looks. "Yes it seems to have been true, as we found 4 Akatsuki uniforms within the building... but no more then 4 corpses who had been dead for days... their faces removed through strange means that left no wound, only blank flesh."

The room looked on as if he were speaking of something out of an old scroll. "Gentlemen the problem is not the corpses, or rather... it's who the corpses were not. the corpses were not of the Akatsuki, there were of our own Rain nin. They were found without uniforms and nearing rotting." amidst stares of the room and murmured whispers the two nin with him spoke up.
"It appears the Akatsuki have taken on the identities of someone among us. Jin you want to clarify this for them? They look a bit perturbed and confused."
"As Shikamaru of Hebi says, they are posing as someone in this room right now. It is now all of your duty to find who is the impostors and eliminate them! My fellows, As if that were not problem enough it seems a well known bounty hunter has also worked his into our midst by word of the Root as well... through temporary assistance with whom many are calling... the sage of death. All of these people who have invaded our lands must be taken care of immediately." spoke VSA very loudly and distinctly. "But don't think for one moment this will allow you to shirk your duties... every night you will still perform your guard duties and patrols as you are our only exceptional nin remaining. During the day you may sleep or speak amongst each as you wish within this room. Not being in this room at the crack of dawn will leave us to presume you are dead or shirking your duties."

The room was now a ruckus of noise and confusion as the nin all began to look at each other nervously and suspiciously... the people they thought were the friends they grew up with may not be them anymore and it was disturbing them to say the least. The tall Umbrella bearing nin pushed his glasses up into his rain mask and spoke once more as he turned and exited the room the other two bolting out in front of him...

"Good luck my friends... You'll need it in the coming nights" The rain outside now began to pour in a torrent against the roof, only drowned out by the confusion within the building itself.

Roles:

Rain Villager: (Good normal)
No special power. Votes during the day phase to kill a player.

Rogue Ninja: (Bad special)
Votes during the night phase to kill a player.

Rogue Leader: (Bad special)
The final decision on what ninja is killed during the night phase.

Medic Ninja: (Good special)
PM's a name to the Narrator and saves that player during the night phase. The same player cannot be saved twice in a row.

ANBU: (Good special)
PM's a name to the Narrator during the night phase and the role of the player is revealed to the ANBU.

Kage: (Good special)
PM's a name to the Narrator and saves that player during the day phase. The same player cannot be saved twice in a row.

Bounty Hunter: (Unaligned Special)
PM's a name to the Narrator during the night phase. If they do not PM a name in two consecutive night phases that player is killed. The players role is revealed to you. If you do not PM for two consecutive nights you kill that player.

Mystic Ninja: (Unaligned Special)
The Mystic Ninja can PM a name to the narrator during the night phase. The name is held off to the side. When the Mystic Ninja is killed, all the names are revealed on the forum with true roles.

Victory Conditions
Good guys: Kill all the Rogue Ninjas and the Bounty Hunter.
Bad guys: Kill all the good Special Ninjas.
Bounty Hunter: Kill all the Special Ninjas on one side.
Mystic Ninja: Find all the Special Ninjas on both sides then die. To make a side lose he has to find all the Special Ninjas on one side.

Game time:
All times are EST.
Day phase is 24 hours
Night phase is 24 hours
Game starts tonight at 12AM EST

Game Rules:
You CANNOT reveal your role to anyone. If I catch wind that you revealed your role I'll kill you instantly. This has been a major problem in the other games and it is NOT something I will tolerate. You can't just say "Hey I'm this role" and expect to live. You cannot PM someone else and state "this is the role I am" and it be your actual role. If you do this, I'll kill your character off. Saying in the thread and lying is fine, but partnering up with others is not.
You have exactly 72 hours from your last post, to post again. If you don't post in that 72 hour time frame the game times you out and you die.
Tylar imposed rule (which means you get BANNED if you break it): You as players CANNOT post outside information on players. You get banned immediately if you break it and you are banned from Mafia.

1. Define "reveal your role." I can't say "I'm X role" or anything of that nature?
2. Define "special ninja" for the rogues. Are they all special or is only the leader special?

1. Any reveal that would alter the game's function and time frame of playing. i.e. exactly how you exampled it and similar.
2. fairly sure but I think anything that is not a 'normal' rain ninja is considered a special role. I only think this due to the implications involving the Bounty Hunter and the Mystic win conditions.

1. So then how are non-rogues expected to work together? Who is the Anbu supposed to trust with his information and how can he contact the medic to protect him. Obviously, there is the assumption that everyone is on the same side, but the specific roles seem like they will have a lot of trouble using their powers to maximum potential if they can't reveal their roles to anyone and no one can reveal their roles to them. While I think people should certainly think deeply before revealing their roles, completely outlawing it makes it extremely hard for non-rogues.

I'm following this rule as well (aside from the banning myself part). I would immediately die and be banned from Mafia.
