Are there going to be 1st Edition runs of Naruto?

Like in other games like Pokemon and YGO, are there going to be 1st Edition print runs of Naruto? I'm not familiar with how Bandai handles this with other games, so I'd like to know. Thanks, anyone who can answer.

I can tell you that only someone high up in Bandai can answer that question, and they won't be saying anything until a while after the game is actually released.

Huh? That's weird. Why would they announce something after it's released?

Because if theres going to be another printing they would announce it then. The first release of a CCG set is always going to be the 1st edition, there is no way that it wouldn't be. If theres going to be more editions they wouldn't announce it till the cards actually sold out.

Okay, I see what you mean, but that's not what I was talking about. I meant, are there going to be Naruto cards printed with a "1st Edition", "Limited Edition", or other similar moniker on them, to try and raise the value of these cards?

Also, you've raised some other questions from me. How long is a print run? Is it just that a company prints many cards then lives off only those cards for months? It seems weird to do it that way to me...

All card games generally only print the cards so much. Either they make one giant print run of the cards, or they do occassional printings of the cards when need be, this all depends on card sales really. Usually after a while the company will choose to not reprint the cards anymore or just choose not to reprint and a set becomes out of print. Often card companies will rerelease those cards later at some point though through special new editions or sets.

Okay, but my original question is still not clearly answered.

And no one can answer it for you as only Bandai's upper management will know this. There will be one printing, and no special editions currently planned, what happens in future and if different editions come out, well thats something that no one will probably determine till later.

If I were to guess, I think there is some security involved or something. Tell me if I'm wrong, cause I feel much smarter if I'm told wrong, Only sometimes.
