Sealed Cutthroat

So, this one came to me all the way back at the beginning (Path!). I've had to modify it some due to rule changes since then, but the concept remains the same.

RULES:

Each player begins the tourney with a sealed deck (preferably from the latest expansion) and 2 unopened packs from the set of their choosing. They then have a set time limit to build a deck from their starting cards.

The tournament would be a bracketed double-elimination tourney. Two losses, you're out.

Each match would go one round, and each player would be allowed to rebuild decks between matches. The reason? Any battle rewards won by either player in a match would be kept by the player that won them.

Thus, players who did well would grow even stronger, while the less fortunate would have to catch up. You would still have an extra 20 cards at the start of the tourney, so each player could go at least 2 matches and still potentially come away with a full deck. I say potentially because no one would be allowed to resign from a match; you play the game through. Furthermore, a player keeps ALL BRs won, so if a player wins the game with an excess of 10 BRs, he keeps them ALL, knocking his opponent even further while significant raising his own strength.

As for prizes, well, that takes care of itself, doesn't it? All participants keep whatever cards they win from one another, and even those who lose still come away with the remains of their starting cards (and any BRs they picked up).

I believe this format would be a true test of skill and strategic ability. Players would be initially limited to the cards they have on hand, and would have to make crucial decisions throughout the course of play as to which cards to include and which to retain for later use. Potentially powerful cards could become another player's if captured as a BR, so you'd really have to exercise caution and think on your feet.
