I won 3 local/weekly tournaments at my shop. How does my meijin and I apply to get a Genin Pin?

or

is each local a genin, and am I now a chunin because I won 3 locals.

Is there an alternative way to becoming a Jonin other than winning the Jonin/kage tournaments?

it depends on what kind of tournament he/she is holding.

Meijins i believe are allowed to run 2 Genins per the 2 month cycle.
so usually, they hold 1 genin a month and 3 ninja academies.
if they have a Chunin or Jonin then they can just figure it all in there somehow.

if you win 3 ninja academies at the same venue, you're ranked up to Genin and/or get your Genin pin.
the kit that the meijin received, with all the prize support, should have the forms needed and instructions on how to get you your pin.

to become Chunin, you either have to place 1st at a Chunin level event [this is now premier level event], or you can win 3 Genin level events. i don't know if winning 9 Ninja academy warrants Chunin level or not either, ahah.

for Jonin/Kage, i believe the only way is to just place 1st at those events.

i'm not sure about Jonin though, people are always speculating about that too on how to get there. when GRT was still being used, i found a friend who was ranked Jonin but he hadn't won a Jonin, just won like 2 Chunins, a few Genins and Academies.

Does anyone else think rankings are a little wrong? My friend who played at one locals and lost all his matches is ranked higher than me <.<

keep checking I noticed that once befor but after about two and a half weeks
it updated.I think that only the tournament's are keept up to date week in week out.
over all standing may only get updated once a month

It sounds like you're talking about the old GRT site, which they don't use anymore.
