General Rules

With respect to Ninja Blade coins that symbolize Ninja-like entities while in-play (i.e., N-511), the following rules apply:

1. All Ninja Blade coins symbolizing a Ninja-like in-play entity are not unique, unless they actually have a Ninja Name.

1a. If a Ninja Blade coin is given an actual Ninja Name (i.e., Naruto Uzumaki, etc.) they become unique and therefore follow the uniqueness rule. Therefore, if a Ninja with the same Name is already in play, the effect that places this Ninja Blade coin in play will fail since it would break the uniqueness rule.

2. All Ninja Blade coins symbolizing a Ninja-like in-play entity can be injured, healed, changed to injured status and changed to healthy status.

3. Ninja Blade coins that symbolize a Ninja have the following unless otherwise noted in the effect that brings them into play:

- Ninja Symbol
- have an Entrance cost of 0
- have a Hand Cost of 0
- can use Jutsus
- can fulfill the requirement of a card effect
- can attack or block
- can be affected by effects that affect Ninjas
- can be affected by effects that affect Ninja Blade coins (so they can be removed by an effect that removes Ninja Blade coins).
- have Power of 0/0 in healthy or injured status
- can be discarded or targeted as if they are an actual in-play Ninja card, although as soon as they are removed from play they cease to exist and if moved from the in-play zone to a non in-play, will never reach the other zone
- can change control from one player to another

4. Ninja Blade coins that symbolize a Ninja do NOT have the following unless otherwise noted in the effect that brings them into play:

- no Element Symbol
- no Characteristics
- no Village Symbol
- no Combat Attribute
- no effect (therefore, they are a 'no effect Ninja')

* * * *

Card effects that 'Deploy' Ninjas - Any effect that 'deploys' a Ninja will take that player's 1 deployment for the turn. Additionally, all Entrance requirements must be met at the time that the effect is applied, otherwise the effect fails. If the effect fails in this manner, the deployment did not occur, and that player still can deploy a Ninja for the turn.

Ninja Cards - N-XXX

N-473 : Kakashi Hatake (editted 5/12/09)

> This card's effect condition is met when the Jutsu targets a member of this Ninja's Team, and, if activated, the effect is placed on the Chain directly after the Jutsu effect.

> This card's effect does not prevent or negate the use of the Jutsu card.

N-476 : Neji Hyuga

> This effect is activated when the Jutsu card is successfully used, and is placed on the Chain directly after the Jutsu card's effect.

N-479 : Kisame Hoshigaki

> If the X value of the Support is a negative number, then the Head Ninja in the effect will get -(-X) = +X.

N-481 : Sasori

> The Puppet coin does not give the Ninja the 'Puppet' Characteristic.

N-482 : Zetsu

> This Ninja does indeed have a Combat Attribute, and that Combat Attribute is '?'.

> The Combat Attribute of '?' does not mean every Combat Attribute, does not mean any Combat Attribute, and does not mean no Combat Attribute. There is a Combat Attribute, and that is '?'.

N-484 : Crow

Effect errata: During the Exchange of Jutsu, you can place this Ninja in 1 of your other Teams with 1 or more Ninjas with a "Manipulation" Combat Attribute in any position.

Valid: This Ninja can only be sent out to Battle in the same Team as a Ninja with a "Manipulation" Combat Attribute.

> This Ninja's effect will allow this Ninja to be moved from the Village or a Team already on the Battlefield to another Team that is in the Village or on the Battlefield.

N-485 : Black Ant

Effect errata: During the Exchange of Jutsu, you can place this Ninja in 1 of your other Teams with 1 or more Ninjas with a "Manipulation" Combat Attribute in any position.

Valid: This Ninja can only be sent out to Battle in the same Team as a Ninja with a "Manipulation" Combat Attribute.

> This Ninja's effect will allow this Ninja to be moved from the Village or a Team already on the Battlefield to another Team that is in the Village or on the Battlefield.

N-486 : Salamander

Effect errata: During the Exchange of Jutsu, you can place this Ninja in 1 of your other Teams with 1 or more Ninjas with a "Manipulation" Combat Attribute in any position.

Valid: This Ninja can only be sent out to Battle in the same Team as a Ninja with a "Manipulation" Combat Attribute.

> This Ninja's effect will allow this Ninja to be moved from the Village or a Team already on the Battlefield to another Team that is in the Village or on the Battlefield.

N-487 : Ebizo

Effect errata: When this Ninja is put in play, you can select 1 of the "Puppet" Niinja card from either your Chakra area or Discard Pile and put it in play.

N-494 : Naruto Uzumaki & Gaara of the Desert

> This Ninja's effect is an Interrupt effect. After an effect is applied that will remove this Ninja from play, or the Showdown result results in the removal from play of this Ninja, but before the Ninja is actually removed from play, this Ninja's effect can be activated and applied.

N-495 : Temari & Kankuro

> The "... discard 2 cards ..." is done as this card's effect is ready to be applied.

N-496 : Sasuke Uchiha

> If multiple Mandatory effects activate upon being opposed, they are ordered as usual. After this order sequence, players may activate Optional effects to the Chain before the Chain begins to resolve.

> This is a Mandatory effect.

N-503 : Double Headed Wolf

> The first part of this Ninja's effect cannot be negated by another card effect or ignored.

N-511 : Shino Aburame

> The Ninja Blade coin itself has the text(s) noted, and is independent from this card.

> The "Valid:" effect is part of the Ninja Blade coin and not this card.

N-513 : Neji Hyuga

Effect errata: When this Ninja is sent out to Battle and opposed, you can place 1 Ninja Blade coin (symbolizing a Negation coin) on 1 Ninja Battling against this Ninja.

Valid: Effect texts of Ninjas with 1 or more Negation coins are negated. This effect cannot be negated.

> The first non-Valid part of the effect can be negated, but the Valid part cannot be negated.

> This card's effect cannot be used to place a Ninja Blade coin on an opponent's Ninja that is 'unaffected by your opponent's Ninja effects'.

* * * *

N-522 : Naruto Uzumaki (Tailed Beast Mode)

> This Ninja must be sent out to Battle, if possible. Therefore, this Ninja cannot be Teamed with another Ninja, say N-451, to prevent it from being sent out to Battle.

N-527 : Kakashi Hatake

> This Ninja can be changed to Healthy status by an effect other than healing.

N-541 : Deidara

> The effect is to ".. search for 1 "Deidara" Ninja card ... in your Deck, show it...'.

N-542 : Sasori

> When a player 'deploys' a Ninja from any zone, all Entrance requirements must be met.

> If the Deployed Ninja is Growth'd with another Ninja, the new Ninja is still affected by this Ninjas remove from game effect at the end of the turn.

N-543 : The 3rd Kazekage

> If the player has "Sasori" in play, this Ninja can be put in play with an effect that puts (or places) a Puppet Ninja into play.

> The activation Timing for this card is at the end of the turn that this Ninja was sent out to Battle.

N-544 : Sasori (Puppet Mode)

> This Ninja cannot be put in play with an effect like N-US118, since the put in play effect of this card requires the player to do something.

N-551 : Shino Aburame & Kiba Inuzuka

> If the player has less than 2 cards in their deck, they will not draw any, but will still move 1 card from their hand to the bottom of their Deck.

N-551 : Sasuke Uchiha

Effect errata: When this Ninja is sent out to Battle, you can give 1 Damage to 1 of your other Ninjas. In that case, select and give 1 Damage to 1 of your opponent's Ninjas with equal to or lower printed Entrance cost than that Ninja's printed Entrance cost.

N-552 : Sasori & Deidara

> "At the end of your Organization Phase,..." indicates that the player has finished organizing their Teams. The player may not reorganize their Teams after the discard.

N-560 : Neji Hyuga

> If the player has less than 3 cards in their Deck, the second part of this effect fails.

N-567 : Kakashi Hatake (Anbu Days)

> This is not an "Anbu" Ninja.

> "Anbu" refers to the exact Name of the Ninja or an "Anbu" Characteristic.

N-570 : Tsunade

> The negative Power will affect only the Team that this Ninja is currently in.

N-571 : Rock Lee

> "... the original Combat value ..." refers to the 'printed' value on the card.

N-572 : Kakashi Hatake & Might Guy

Effect errata: During your Mission Phase, you can discard X number of your Chakras. In that case, you can discard up to X number of your opponent's in-play Ninjas with an Entrance cost of 1 or less.

N-573 : Kakashi Hatake & Pakkun

> If the player's deck contains less than 6 cards, this effect fails.

N-579 : Sakura Haruno

> "X" is determined when the damage is received and the effect is activated.

N-580 : Kakashi Hatake

> If this effect is activated and applied, the opponent Ninja's can only use 1 Jutsu card total for the turn.

Mission Cards - M-XXX

M-364 : Dangerous Intruder

> This effect does not Ambush the Ninja into play, but only puts the Ninja in play.

M-369 : Existence of Tailed Beast (updated 6/18/2010)

> Effect errata - "You can reveal 1 "The Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit" Ninja..."

M-379 : West Gate, North Gate

> The "Tayuya" and "Sakon" that are considered to be in play, have the Characteristic "The Four Sound Ninja".

> The "Tayuya" and "Sakon" that are considered to be in play, cannot be sent out to attack or block, but can be used as the requirement for a Mission card to be played.

> The "Tayuya" and "Sakon" that are considered to be in play, cannot gain any other Characteristics.

> This card's effect does not put in play any Ninja.

M-380 : South Gate, East Gate

> The "Jirobo" and "Kidomaru" that are considered to be in play, have the Characteristic "The Four Sound Ninja".

> The "Jirobo" and "Kidomaru" that are considered to be in play, cannot be sent out to attack or block, but can be used as the requirement for a Mission card to be played.

> The "Jirobo" and "Kidomaru" that are considered to be in play, cannot gain any other Characteristics.

> This card's effect does not put in play any Ninja.

M-382 : Raid By Anbu

> This card's Effect refers to any Ninjas with the Name of 'Anbu' or have the 'Anbu' Characteristic.

M-385 : A Mark

> The text is correct, you must show the card to your opponent.

M-389 : Secret of Uchiha Clan

> This card's effect is read from the current controller of this Mission. Therefore, if the controlling player or the opponent, put a card with "Uchiha" in its name, then the 3 cards will be discarded from the opponent's Deck of the controller of this card.

> If a Ninja card that includes multiple 'Uchiha' Ninjas is put in play, it only counts for 1 Ninja, since you are only putting the 1 Ninja card in play. Therefore, only 3 cards will be discarded.

M-396 : A Gift

Effect errata: Effect: Each time 1 of your "Male" Ninjas is discarded due to the Showdown, place 1 Growth coin on 1 of your "Female" Ninjas at the end of that turn.

> This card's effect will activate for each of the controller's 'Male' Ninjas that were discarded due to the Showdown.

> This card's effect will only activate once for a Platoon, or other Ninja, that has 2 or more 'Male' Ninjas on it.

> Multiple Growth coins can be placed on any 1 "Female" Ninja.

M-406 : Archrival

> This card's effect will be based on the current Entrance cost of the opponent's Ninja including all modifiers, as well as the card in the player's hand including all modifiers.

* * * *

M-412 : Mission of Capturing the Missing "Pet Tora"

> When a player 'deploys' a Ninja from any zone, all Entrance requirements must be met.

M-416 : Cruel Irony

> The target can be moved to the Battlefield by a card effect, but would have to be in a Team by itself.

> If the card returns to the original owner's in play zone, the restrictions are removed.

M-417 : Eliminating the Alliance

> The selection of the symbol for each player remains the same for this effect as long as this card remains in play.

M-419 : Uncovered Trick

> This effect is affecting the Team Power, and therefore the Team as a whole, and not the Ninja directly.

M-426 : The Ones Wriggling in the Dark

> When a player 'deploys' a Ninja from any zone, all Entrance requirements must be met.

> This card's effect 'deploys' and does not 'ambush'.

> This effect gives the player the ability to perform a Deployment as noted. When the effect is applied, if there is no Ninja with "Ambush" in their Discard Pile, or the player is unable to fulfill the Entrance requirements of any Ninja with "Ambush" in their Discard Pile, this effect fails.

M-428 : Eight Ninja Dogs

> When a player 'deploys' a Ninja from any zone, all Entrance requirements must be met.

M-429 : Sealing the Tailed Beast

> This card can be played even if the player already put a Ninja in play this turn.

M-432 : Detecting the Enemy

> By discarding 2 cards, your opponent negates the card effect, but this Mission card will remain in play.

M-437 : Long Awaited Reunion

> The 'or' means the opponent has one or the other but not both in play. If the opponent has both in play, you cannot search for either.

M-441 : Dark Ritual

> This card's effect will be applied no matter how this Mission is removed from play.

M-443 : Substitute

> The player cannot put a Ninja with the same name in play, even though they will be discarding the other.

M-453 : Successive Hokage

> The reference of "Satoosa" + "Leaf" Ninja means that each Ninja counted toward this effect must have both the "Satoosa" and the "Leaf" Characteristics.

M-454 : Sleeping in the Open

> This card's effect does not heal a Ninja, but just changes it to healthy status.
