Konohamaru ninja squad N-361 and Baki N-130

There is a dispute between me and a couple of friends on this scenario... so I wish to end the debate once and for all.

Let's say that my opponent has a team of N-361 as a back ninja and any other ninja as a front ninja. I attack with my Baki, and like the effect requires he is on the field at the end of turn. Would my opponent be able to target the head ninja of their team with N-361 in it, then negate and nullify N-130's effect due to N-361's effect. It just doesn't seem as if they could target the ninja in the first place given the effect of the konohamaru ninja squad, even if baki is the opponent's choice.

Thank you very much for your time.

Baki's effect occurs at the end of the turn. Konohamaru ninja squad's effect only protects head ninjas. There are only head ninjas during the battle phase.

Since Baki's effect occurs at the end of the turn which is after the battle phase has ended, then konohamaru ninja squad's effect is no longer occurring b/c there is no longer a head ninja.

Follow-Up question

Thank you very much for your reply, that makes a lot of sense.

As a follow up, however, could they in turn target a ninja that is not targetable by opponent's effects.

Like suppose that I have Baki (N-130), attack and he remains so that his effect is triggered... but my opponent decides to declare an overflowing chakra ninja as the target of Baki's effect, lets just say Naruto OC N-us122.

The logic then would be, they are targeted, but then Baki's effect is negated because they cannot be affected. Does this work, because it seems to me they shouldn't be able to target the ninja in the first place?

Here is the most current ruling on this:
