n-280 vs n-453

If player A is attacker who controls n-280, and player B controls n-453:

Player A sends his team of 1 ninja (n-280) and player B blocks with (n-453)...

player A activates his n-280's effect, player B responds with n-453's effect.

Does player A's effect still resolve, making so if player A flips a heads n-453 will receive a point of damage?

Actually, N-453 Itachi's effect can only be activated during the exchange of jutsu. N-280 Kidomaru has already been activated and fully resolved before Itachi's effect can even be activated b/c Kidomaru's effect is activated when he is sent out to battle and opposed which is before the exchange of jutsu.
