question on n-428

Lets say naruto uzumaki n-418 is in a team as the head ninja with the fourth hokage n-371 and toki n-382.Now I send them out to battle and he chump blocks the team. If i activate naruto's effect would the other two ninja's effects kick in or is that not a normal battle reward
