Exchange of Jutsu

This may seem like a simple and stupid question.

I have two teams out for battle: Kakashi Hatake ES n-064 and Naruto Uzmaki n-187 (in injure status).

Oppenent sent out choji Akimichi N-us016 to block Naruto.

Since I'm attacker I choose to resolve Naruto vs. Choji first. During exchange of jutsu I pass. Blocker play Kuni to increase Choji attack value. I'm good up to here. In my hand I have Sharingan eye j-007. Now my question. Since I have ES in the battlefield, can I chain Sharingan Eye to negate Kuni even though ES is not part of Narutos team? The req: is Sharingan eye which ES has. Target is Kuni, apply effect.

Valid chain or no?

ES is going to attack and not be blocked.
