When does this ninja take damage? Can he take damage from Jutsu? or, can he take damage as a result of the showdown. NOTE: His opponent does NOT have Sharingan Eye on their side of the field. So, can he still take damage somehow, or is he immune.

This Itachi cannot receive any damage during the showdown if your opponent does not have any ninjas with the "Sharingan Eye" characteristic in play. He can receive damage during any other phase (including the exchange of jutsu).

Also, if your opponent has a ninja with "Sharingan Eye" in play, then Itachi can receive damage during the showdown.
