jutsu chain/resolve question
Opp sends a team out to battle, I block. The opponent plays a jutsu card targeting the team battling against the user. I respond by playing a card that moves one of the ninja's in the team to somewhere else where they can't be targeted by the jutsu (the new substitution jutsu, j-374 for example). Would the opponent's jutsu then fail to resolve because one of the targets is no longer valid or would the jutsu still resolve but only effect the two ninja's that were originally targeted? I don't think it would effect all three ninja's since with "the team battling against the user", the ninjas that the jutsu targets is determined when the jutsu was first played, but i could be wrong.
Thx for the response
