J-329 Dragon Flame Jutsu
I'd like a clarification on this jutsu.
Effect states "Give 2 damage to the target. However, if the target's Entrance Cost is greater than the user's, give 1 damage to the target" Does J-329 go based on Original Entrance Cost or current Entrance Cost? Example would be If My opponent has Hayate Gekko and Shikamaru [N-us014] and his Gekko uses J-329 on my Head Ninja, that has an Entrance cost of 5, will my head ninja take 2 damage instead of 1 because his Entrance is now 0? I've heard mixed answers on this and would like an official ruling. |

any reference to Entrance, Power, etc. is for the current in-play value of that stat when, in this case, the effect is applied.
if the effect were to refer to or affect the printed Entrance, Power, etc. the effect would state "... the printed Entrance cost..."... etc. for example, when an effect states that the Power becomes 0, the current in-play Power becomes 0 along with any modifiers, including continuous modifiers, that are currently affecting that Power. if the effect states that the printed Power becomes 0, then the printed value would change, and all current in-play modifiers would be reapplied to that new value. |
