Nope they dont. The pen tool gives you much more control and much neater lines. It is most assuredly more work, but you get a better end product. Try it and see.

Fair enough, as long as you get results I can't argue. I think we can both agree though that alot of the rendering done around here is pretty sub-par though and could really use some help.

The most interesting jobs for me are when you take a low quality picture and vector it. (Vectoring is basically using the pen tool to trace over a picture and recoloring it so as to raise the quality). I've wondered for a while if thats what bandai does to get the image quality that they have.

I don't exactly have too worry about anything, since I don't use the stock backgrounds, but the full image backgrounds (they look MUCH cooler) |

Is there an option for "Layers"?
That's how I do it in GIMP and I'm sure Photoshop uses the same thing. Make a new layer for each part of the image, then you can drag the layers around and get them to stack how you want them to. DBZNarutoFreak, I'm sure you seen some of the stuff I created on PlayTCG (sigs and other pictures). It was all done by playing with layers. |

just layer the character on top of the card, seperate the bottom and the top, and make the bottom transparent.
