I don't think the game needs any bans. I, myself, do not run meta because my favorite characters are not commonly used. I see the meta as something that I need to overcome, to better my deck to get around. One of the reasons I run mill, because it is an entirely different win condition.

Then again, if Shinigami does any good at the chunins, a deck like the ones we run will become a new meta.

Hey, Shinigami! I'm taking my insect/puppy mill to Chunins too! ^_^ of course I need to play test it a bit first abd change some things, but I'm not adding usf Chouji because I think it is kind of stupid, to be honest. *shrugs* and I'm not adding Shikamaru or Gaara or any of those things because my deck is based around team 8, my favorite team.

Still, if I had to keep up with a ban list, I probably wouldn't be as eager to play or feel as good when I win as I do.

I respect you very much for not running the meta, but what you enjoy to play. From seeing the past erratas, they make me somewhat nauseous, so I think a ban would be quick and easy.

Thankyou. ^_^ and Maybe that is true... but I've beaten Freedori and Deep Forest creation and five prong seal decks with my little insect/puppy mill. I think having faith in yourself and being persistant is the best way to go.

Though for the Tin Gaara, I have heard of one good suggestion for an eratta.
Changing "give one damage to" to "Change to injured status"

i understad the topic of this thread but the thing is, it is ALWAYS going to happen. whoever wins the highest tourney, people will start netting. People WILL use cards they used. Eventually, people realize "oh, that card is good, i want to try and win now" and start using it. I started naruto too because it was fun, but i think nothing can seriously be done. if they errata the formations, then guess what? NEW staples will take its place. its going to happen even though i dont like it

I know what you mean. If someone wins a big event by fluke running a Ninjaless Mill Deck, then you know it'll be a huge deck that people will try to use..

It's just a never ending cycle.
