Something Needs to be Done. - Naruto

I've been looking at some of the old threads in the Deck Dojo, and I keep noticicing how much creativity were put into making decks, other than Sasuke [Analysis of Competence] most decks were fairly different and had a different look and purpose. Now in the current meta, you are forced to run x3 Choji, x3 Shika, x3 Gaara, x3 Reunion, just to keep up with your opponent, and have a competitive deck. Well, I'm very sick of it, and I don't want my deck to be judged whether or not it has so and so cards, etc. I want the game to be where you can make your deck and have fun with it, and who knows, maybe it could become competitive or not, but I just want some erratas, bans, you name it. This game seems to have a problem with the current meta, and I want an change with N-US014 Shikamaru Nara, N-US016 Choji Akimichi, and PR-US008 Gaara of the Desert. I'm very sick and tired of trying to keep up with the meta, and spending ridiculous amounts of money just to do so. Please no flame wars. Post here if you agree with what I'm trying to say. While reading this thread, think for yourself. I haven't won many tournaments, and I don't even think I'm a very good player, I just play for fun, and this game is losing fun, and something needs to be done.

I can understand, but i like running Choji!
He's a cool character! xD

Anyway, the only problem I see is Gaara, I believe the game will be come amazing if/when he gets errated!

Choji is a great character! I've been told I look like Choji

But anyways, I've always enjoyed the Formation trio, but I'm starting to disagree with them. IMO early damage jutsu should come at a great cost [Fireball Jutsu] but with Choji, Gaara you can do it for little to no cost, and that makes me mad, and with Shika, it just helps them do it.

I agree the game will become great again once a ban or an errata happens.

I agree with you 100%. I don't want to have any kind of bans, coz that would just limit deck creativity even more. I, as a matter of fact, don't run usF Choji or Shikamaru, nor do I run renunion. I do run Gaara TN in my Sound 5 deck, but only because he set's up State2 Jirobo's effect really nicely(put out TN with regular state sound 5, use him to discard them and clear the way for the state 2 guys, then I have a lot of good chakra to re-use Four Flames Formation over and over.) Ever since I've started playing, I never ran the meta. I refused to run Fire when it was good and now I refuse to run meta cards unless they combo really nicely with something I have in my deck. I hate how everyone gripes about not wanting to run the meta, then turns around and runs it anyway. As I've said before, meta cards aren't unbeatable. And, since I know someone will try to flame me later on, yes, I'm a pretty good player. Yes, I've lost a few times before, but for the most part I win, so don't try to pull that trick.
