Honestly, Ive never met you or seen you play, but I trust Dave and Joshes opinions, and both have said good things about you in the past. You might just be rusty

The thing I don't like about that last statement is that if they go by the boards and results is that it leads to less innovation in deck building and while I know that the cookie cutter decks are cookie cutter for a reason that doesn't make it the end all that people seem to think it is. Just about everyone ran Gaara [TN] in 2-3s but the deck the won was a deck that was tailored to counter the heavy damage meta.

At the NY Chunin before BoD we had multiple monowater tops that used senbon as its anti damage and SR 2nd for anti Gaara/shika/cho, its nothing new. The reason those decks didnt see T4 was because while they have 3 senbon, I have alot more times I can damage from gaara, choji, paperbomb, etc, and I have access to one of the more ridiculous jutsus in the game (SCJ) giving me the option to wreck to your best team with a meh ninja such as idate, as early as turn 1 off of 9th match. Sure water prison CAN stop it, but if I see you have 2 water, I'm going to block with a 2 man team and pump with the back ninja.
so yeah, like I said before the IDEA they were going for is right, but their build is just all over the place instead of focused and consistant toward the strategy.
