which naruto is better?

the feature one, or the one that came in shonen jump? they are pretty much the same, except the promo one can injure itself at any time in the game, giving him 3/1 whenever you want, but, unfortunately, injury can be fatal...

I like the Promo better becuase if you play the card right. Depending on what jutsus you have and what team you have, it could be a really good benefit. Or to play it safe you could use the card that comes with the starter for naruto.

The danger of the featured Naruto card, though, is in the possibility of something happening and your opponent getting outstanding victory, instantaneously killing off your head ninja.

There has to be a difference of 5 or more team power. In a hypothetical situation, if your opponent has the promo naruto and a 0 cost ninja in hand, he can put down the 0 cost in the first turn, then you'd put down a ninja, say the featured naruto with a power of 1, then your opponent puts down the promo naruto, charges his chakra, and attacks. if you defend with your naruto, your opponent's can use his naruto's power, automatically creating a +3 attack compared to your squad, and ther application of Jutsu becomes imperative since the opponent has had an extra turn to draw cards and charge chakra. Now it could be the difference between life and death for your Naruto.

My point is that in the early game, the player with initiative can have a huge advantage if he uses the promo naruto correctly.

Almost every Naruto card seems to follow the same principle of him getting better as he gets injured.

Ironically the team up of Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura makes for a pretty poor team in the CCG...

Good point Vone. Didn't think of that.

I'd still stand by 0-cost, because unless my opponent had a couple of Shuriken ready, I'm not that shafted in the opening.

See I wasn't even going to use Team 7 for my deck. I have an idea as to who I want in it, but have to wait. Though the Promo Naruto is cool but the others, like was mentioned, says the same thing. He gets better when injured and you can see that from the anime.

There's a third Naruto card that I find really interesting. Like the promo Naruto he comes out on turn 2. When he gets damaged he gets 3 attack like all the others. He doesn't get any support when he gets damaged though.

His special ability is really interesting though! When he recieves damage you flip a coin, if the coin comes up heads, you take one less damage. If you lose a regular fight, he might not take any damage at all, if the opponent gets outstanding victory, you can reduce the damage by one, giving naruto the better stats.

Another thing I was laughing about was Sasuke. He starts out with a three, but if he gets damaged he becomes a 1. He's immune to lower cost jutsu though.

Oh, and like how Kyle mentioned that team 7 is kind of lame all together, Sakura gets more support when she's with a male genin. So Naruto/Sakura or Sasuke/Sakura could work, but adding the third to the team, be it sasuke or naruto, actually is a waste of space. Pretty funny.

Way too funny. The card itself though, is good early game because of the support. Dan and I actually had a discssion about this, figuring it out. It may be less meaningful now being that Entrance is based on turns, but she's still worthwile.
