A Gaara TN Counter?

Im was thinking of running Gaara [Sand Sheild] to protect myself against Garra TN, since I didnt get the chance to get my playset of Gaara TN. Do you think it will work? The tourney is coming up so it would be cool to know if it works. I cant test until the day of the tourney.... so sad.

Gaara to counter gaara.

Sounds like back in the day when people ran APW to counter APW and Ino to counter Ino.

And Strikingly Similar to running Choji to keep Choji at bay, and Shikamaru to keep up with your opponent's Shikamaru.

I know a great way to counter gaara. *begins construction on the R&D BAN-HAMMER* I'll let Bandai borrow it if they want, but only if they say please...

If you use Sand Shield, any good player using TN isn't going to bother hitting your Gaara, they'll just hit your other ninjas.

In addition, without you running your own, you will not be able to pressure them while they have Gaara TN out, and they will still be able ot pressure you.

Hence, the issue.

I want to know why Gaara of the Desert [Sand Protection] hasn't come up at all in these discussions, or even in any decks. He's practically invincible.

there are counters to Gaara(TN), but the best counter for Gaara(TN) is obviously Gaara(TN) himself. Having any other counters in your deck for Gaara is just wasted space for better Ninja/Mission/Jutsu.

I just happen to run both TN AND Sand Protection, as well as Overflowing Madness. TN is the worst, with SP far on top.
Also, vanilla Kurenai is resistant to TN.

That's a great idea. A deck completely made of Kunoichi. Missions that involve Temptation, Kunoichi battle, Pass permit, etc.
