Element deck

if i remember correctly lee is acually lighting...in this game is nothing to do with wht village they are from...for instence naruto is from the fire shadow village but his element is lighting....remember to always pay attention to the elements because some jutsu requires u to play a spacific element as its cost...if u dont pay attention u end up having cards in ur deck that are useless...furthermore, lee cant use jutsu for the most part....he can use "tool" jutsu (kunai,shikiran star)....and i think there are a few others to come

Yea i thought about a character deck but you actually have to look at the cards. for example naruto, sasuke, and sakura is not the best combo (although it may be done i guess).

being a tournament judge, i am always trying to think of ways to have fun with tournaments...

one thing that sticks out heavily in my mind for one of the more interesting magic tournaments that i ran was as follows:
there was about 16 players
ALL players had a blue deck with different sleeve types on thier cards.
after the seating was arranged, at the end of the last player in the rotation's turn, everyone passed thier hand to the left.

wont work so well in naruto with the battle rewards, but, was a lot of fun with magic... that one game took like 6 hours though...

... back on topic... theme decks such as the particular teams may be fairly interesting to run... have no clue whatsoever how it would be accomplished... specially not knowing which "team" would be the highest base power count... but, it could be fairly interesting... might have to work on that later...

Yea character based decks are very sketchy. I think one should focus on what's best for their deck and if there is oppertunity then make it character based. Know that I mean?

because i hate doing what everybody else does i might actually try a water, wind, and earth deck but thats just me. ill have to see what cards i get.

As far as number of each type of card in the first set here is the break down. This information is based off of Shonen Jump's May issue Naruto checklist:

Ninja
Lightining: 10
Fire: 9
Water: 8
Wind: 8
Earth: 8

Jutsu
Lightning: 8
Fire: 8
Water: 10
Wind: 8
Earth: 8

Mission
Lightining: 9
Fire: 9
Water: 10(9: depending whether "Teachings of the previous Hokage" is Wind or Water
Wind: 6 (7 see above)
Earth: 8

So you can see other than ninjas which are discarded and not put into the chakra pile water has a high number of cards. 2 morer than anyother jutsu element and at least as many as fire and lightining in mission. I do not know the effects but they are the cards of haku and zabuza so they r strong (kinda). And if you use wind or earth as a support you can make a decdk that rivals all your unorriginal lightining fire decks
