is itachi bad or good

why do i get the feeling that itachi is going to let sasuke kill him. maybe itachi isn't bad and he wants to make sasuke kill him. also another thing, what if by killing itachi Sasuke gains a new mangekyo sharingan

Well I don't think the Akatsuki in general is evil...They just have their goals and beliefs and are willing to do anything to achive them...That's not really evil...

itachi has definately done some pretty horrible things... but he just doesnt have that evil vibe you get from characters like orochimaru, or kisame. i think hes got a reason for what hes done, some big plan, and sasuke is a big part of it. i cant help but think that his real reason for killing the clan was to give sasuke a drive to get stronger, but what itachi wants him to get stronger for is the missing piece of the puzzle.

some of the members may not be strictly evil, but the orginization as a whole is, considering their goal of world domination, the fact they are run by madara uchiha, whose chakra is more sinister than the kyuubi's, and that they are all S-class criminals who have commited terrible crimes.

the members of akatsuki all have their own seperate goals, and only cooperate because akatsuki's ultimate goal will further their own. the akatsuki seeks world domination, or at least that is what pein says they seek. as for the true objective, we know that tobi/madara is really after the true power of the sharingan, and that collecting bijuu will somehow help him in that effort, but thats about it. it seems like only pein and blue hair know about tobi/madara's survival and his ulterior motives, and pein is the facade to all the other members. but, since it has something to do with the sharingan, trust itachi to have whatever it is figured out.


whatever it is, itachi's true motive is much too huge of a plot thread to leave hanging, so kishi has to have something up his sleeve. i have somewhat of a crazy theory on all of this, so prepare yourselves, this is a real longshot here. itachi could be working against tobi/madara secretly, and joined akatsuki to get closer to him so he can kill him (remember, the timeline given tells use itachi joined akatsuki roughly 1 1/2 -2 years before he killed the clan, about when he discovered whatever dark ultimate purpose the sharingan has from tablet in the secret meeting place). but, when he realized he couldnt, he decided that hed have to get sasuke, who although he never had the same natural talent as itachi had more untapped potential, to kill him. but when he realized sasuke didnt have the drive to become strong enough, he killed the clan to give sasuke a cause to get as strong as possible, in the hopes that he would one day be able to kill tobi/madara. very unlikely but makes sense when you think about it.

I was thinking lately (who knows wth it really is =\) that possibly tobi/obito/madara used the sharingan to control itachi and make him kill his clan.Its late so i dont wanna type out all of my theory but thats just the jist of it =\

okay why does everything in naruto have to be a conspiracy why cant itachi be bad why does tobi have to be not himself and someone else i mean cant you guys just go along with it Itachi killed whole clan why multiple reason but then he says he had to see how strong he was and you know what Itachi didnt let sasuke live because he was nice he did it because he was done out weak tired not nice you even see his sharingan go off when he is talking

Akatsuki are evil. Most of them are S-class missing-nin and have committed many crimes.


As for Itachi being good or bad, it could go both ways.

Reason for good: Itachi knew that Sasuke's sharingan would be better than his own, but saw him not being able to use it. So, Itachi killed his village in order to push Sasuke to have the drive to use the sharingan and obtain more power, thus making the Uchiha clan extremely powerful even though it would only be him.

Reason for bad: He's just a sadistic mo fo.



But why would he have not killed his brother? He killed everyone else, what held him back?

Itachi killed his family to test his ability against sharingan because he needs to beat mandara, but left sasuke alive in case he fails.

OR

the uchihas knew mandara was still around and Itachi knew he needed to be stopped. but he knew he could not do it. however he knew sasuke could so he killed his family so to drive sasuke to kill him and thirst for power so sasuke could kill mandara. Remember in the flash-back when Itachi said "even if u are to hate me" so Itachi had this planed, because it was "very important i do this"

the reason why people are questioning itachi's true loyalties is because he never had the evil vibe that nearly all villians have in all stories/shows/movies/whatever.
