your chances are, at the most, 3 in 40 of drwing a naruto on your first turn. Strategetically it's about 10 times smarter to have the promo.

Yeah. If your deck is at minimum limit then your chances of getting your favorite combo will be pretty easy.

There is no minimum limit of cards that can be in your deck. Well, you could call it 40 cards minimum and maximum, since that is the number of cards that your deck must be. No more, no less.

Not true. you have a 3/40 chance of pulling 1 Naruto from your deck if you have 3 Narutos in your deck and you pick up 1 card. Don't forget you will be picking up 6 cards at the beginning of the game plus an extra one your first turn.

If I did the math right (pretty sure I might have messed up somewhere. Anyone else know probability?), you actually have about a 50% chance of opening with a first turn Naruto.

I see what you mean, if you start with seven cards and have three Narutos in your deck. Seven times three is 21, so by this logic, you have a 21/40, or 52.5% chance of drawing one Naruto on your first turn. Also, remember that you can redraw your first hand two times with one less card each time, increasing your chances of drawing at least one Naruto on your first turn.

ok so in your first turn you have about an 9/40 chance of pulling a naruto on first turn. but then again you have a great chance of pulling another 0 turn cost ninja. your not only going to have one. i still think statistically there is a better chance subbing the normal for the promo naruto. remeber those two combat points you have can be the diff between having him live and die. its better to try with the stronger point considering the fact that your opponent may get and outstanding combat victory.

no its not 21/40 because you are only drawing 7 cards not 21 and there are only 3 narutos. your thinking about it wrong trust me

No, you don't have a 9/40 chance. The first card you draw you have a 3/40 chance, the 2nd card you have a 3/39 chance, 3rd card has 3/38 and so on. Each card you draw, you have a better chance of drawing into the Naruto since there will be less cards in the deck each time you draw. Like I said, my math isn't perfect but you do have about a 50% of having a Naruto in your opening hand each game.

If three cards in your deck are Naruto cards, and you draw one card with a full deck, there is a probability of 3/40 that the card you drew is a Naruto card. If your first hand is made up of seven cards, starting with a full deck, each of those cards has a 3/40 chance of being a Naruto card. With seven cards, that's a three times seven out of 40, or 21/40, or 52.5% chance of one of them being a Naruto card. Of course, this math is a bit rough, since you have one less card in your deck each time you draw a card in that first hand of seven cards, but that only increases your theoretical chances of drawing at least one Naruto card in your first hand. Calculating the chances of more than one of them being a Naruto card or calculating what would happen if you redraw your hand is a bit more difficult, though. If you want to test it, go make a deck of 40 cards of anything with three of a certain card in it, shuffle the deck well, and draw seven cards. You will theoretically have about a 50-50 chance of getting at least one of those three cards with that first draw.
