well what can i say my opponent was the ever(tratorus) nick, but i beat him 8 out of 10 anyway, and beatdown was easiest to make
i jut thought it was a really fun game, but i wasnt into the series so thats why i ditched the game, plus donating to the local was cool and generous Last edited by nara-shikamaru : 03-23-2006 at 08:19 PM. |

Beatdown you know. A weenie deck uses a swarm of small attackers that come out early to overwhelm an opponent. A Mill deck concentrates on forcing the opponent to lose by forcing them to lose cards from their deck. A Control deck uses counter cards to cancel whatever the opponent tries to play. Depending on the Game, this can be astoundingly powerful. Hand Control is having more cards in your hand than the opponent, giving you more options. Field Control is having an advantage by nature of the cards you have in play. Personally, I'll look at Control deck options for every game, but even though they can win often, they're not very fun to play. I go for "Sacrificing steady footing for a killing blow",to paraphrase Ra's Al Ghul, when I start out. I go for the "high damage/low probability of happening" combos and then adapt from there. Often, I'll look to transcrips of conversations or essays by Dan Tibbles for an idea of deck building philosophy. Last edited by VermilionOne : 03-23-2006 at 11:10 PM. |

honestly, im not to sure on how most of those generic ones will work now that i think about it... -_- i want the real set list... translated is nice, but, im not sure exactly if i want to read it or not... i used to do that for MtG pre-releases, but, it took a lot of fun out of the set when i already knew what was there... but i want to know... -_- i ramble to much... EDIT: afterthought; going somewhat back on topic, i used to have fun with my magic decks... all time best was an 11 card combo that was extended format (at the time) after explaining to the judge how i thought it would work (three times), he finally looked at me, looked at the cards, looked at me again, and then raised his hand and called for the top tier judge... ^_^ fortunatly, 9 out of the 11 worked together quite well... and they told me that they pray they never see it in a game... ... 45 min later, they did. so yea, i hope to have similar stuff in naruto, but, with a limited deck, could be hard for those big combos like that... im thinkin 4 cards max. |

See I was never really good at deck construction until way later in Babylon 5 CCG, then in FMA, I started to learn how to create the decks I needed. THe main thing is with any game just try to play just to play and when you see all the cards, go from there. From what I've seen so far for Naruto, I'm going ot try to make a Sharingan deck, maybe a beat down deck.
But the main thing I've learned is just play to play and as you learn more of the game focus on what you want and how to go about doing it. |

I have known to build pretty good decks in yugioh, and my deck in ZB was never defeted but then again i never played neone but my friends. I always have seen good combos for decks but get mixed up on the filler cards in the deck.
