The tournament is just a chance for players to get more tournament experience for down the road and a chance to give the local tournament organizers a chance to play in their own tournaments. (Meijins are prohibited from playing in their own sanctioned tournaments.) In some cases, the Meijin may install special rules and special prizes. (Like commons only, no rares, tag challenge, etc.)
In terms of Premier ranking, this tournaments has no affect on those rankings. (Only Ninja Academy, Genin, Chunin, Jonin, and Sanin tournaments will affect those.) |

Meijin challenges are fun.
Your meijin plays in the tournament, if you beat him you get additional prizes. Also, my meijin comes up with cool rules at the last minute. Most recently: NO SRS (this completely shifted the meta lol. No freedori, no thirds, mono water took a blow...people here only play freedori, mono water, and rogue decks so the kids with rogue decks had a blast.) Also we chose our favorite jutsu not knowing why at the beginning of the tourney. when we started playing we found out when we played our jutsu we have to shout the name of the jutsu all dramatic and make a hand sign. Some people chose stuff like "Kunai!" I chose, "8 trigram divination seal spell formula." it was fun ![]() |

it really is nothing like these guys are saying, its just there so meijin can play the game, but then they can come up with special rules, even better prizes, like one of the meijin tourneys im going to hold is gonna be given away a whole box of the dream legacy...and of course i will come up with some pretty interesting rules, just to make sure my players have some fun, and win some kool stuff....its all in good fun that is the real reason behind it all!
