Well, if yondi wasn't acting actively in akatsuki then there would be nothing for jiraiya to notice. also, there's no reason that jiraiya wuld've known about akatsuki then anyway, we're never told when jiraiya found out about it. and also...where's the clip of yondi dying, iirc, all we see is a big flash of light. there's no proof that he used the same jutsu as the third ([URL="http://www.bandaicg.com/naruto/showthread.php?t=25415"]all this and more in my awesome theory >_O-b[/URL]).
