Got a GAMA demo deck, first impressions

Hey all I was able to get a hold of one of the decks given away at GAMA so I could start demoing early

From what I understand, It's the starter with the 9 tailed fox Naruto in it but it's mission the extra 10 cards that will be in the starter and coin. Naruto is foiled, and it comes with everyone anyone of us cool kids could want. Zabuza, Kakashi, Hinata, Rock Lee, Might Gai, Tenten, and even Iruka.

Regarding the backgrounds, honestly, the lightning one on the promo card looks kind of blah compared to the other elements, Water being really cool since it's patterned after that iconic woodcut with Mt. Fuji surrounded by rolling waves.

I thought the Naruto had a new background, but it's actually because he has so much art everywhere. He's foiled, but it's not the plain foil or sparkly foil other games use. It's got a random-looking wavy circle pattern, sort of the pattern one would expect to see on a piece of paper being burned through the middle. It's really hard to describe, but it's distinct.

Naruto's shadow clone Jutsu is coool. It's cost is 1 lightning and X. X can be any amount you choose, Then the ninja using the Jutsu gets +2/+0 for every card discarded for X.

There's a noticable lack of pics in this thread. Would you be so kind as to bring some scans online?

Photobucket automatocally scales the images, although I probably shouldn't put up the high quality ones.

Gots nothing to do with being a Meijin, not really. It's got everything to do with that "support your local stores" thing I keep talking about, it pays off some times

GAMA is a trade show, only retailers and company reps can generally go. Often retailers come back with freebies that companies give out so most likely Vermillion got a freebie starter from the owner of his local shop.

Actually it didn't It seems like the starters aren't done yet. 10 cards were missing, no starters, and no coin.

What he said. Thing is, my local shop gives me that sort of consideration. Not so much Toys R Us or Target
