Same here. Besides I learn faster than light if they had a visiaul aid. I honestly believe that this card game is going to be great. I wonder what the tournament prizes would be money or just a souvenir.

Prizes will be promo cards as usual with all Bandai games. Big events like Con tournaments will include some bigger prize pools of various merchandise.

That is not always a problem.
Even though it is sometimes discouraging to play against people who do not have the same interest in the property as yourself, it usually draws more attention to the game. This usually means a larger number of players, which is never a bad thing. I will admit, however, that it also means that you wind up with a higher caliper of player, which can be a double-edged sword. High level play usually draws in a more competitive mindset, which may draw some players away. It is usually best to distinguish between what kind of events you are scheduling so as not to alienate anyone. Cheers, -Matt |

Magic doesnt have problems with their prize program. There are casual players, tourney level players, and in between players. There are varous levels of tourneys that go on all the time. Friday Night Magic is the lowest level, so terrible players generally go to those. While the really really good ones attent the Pro Tours.
A TCG that DOES have that problem is VS, no one plays VS for fun. After coming back from GAMA and chatting with other store owners, the consensus is that nearly every VS player is in it for some kinda prize. I dont think that`ll be an issue with Naruto so much, beacuse i dont think Bandai is going to have a $3 million dollar a year tourney scene. |

It is good that people are in it for some sort of prize. Such as cards. it would be great to see people going crazy trying to win cards to further improve their deck. also there are collectors like me who not only want to have the cards for fun...but the collectability. but those who play games JUST for money or things they want to sell...is dumb. some see games as a business and an investment rather than joy and fun.
