Taking Damage is what makes a Ninja Injured. So the combo would work. Keep doing it to pump up Naruto by healing and getting Naruto injured.

This though requires a player to actually get Naruto hurt, unlike the other Naruto, you can't dictate that you want to automatically injure Naruto, so if your opponent can't hurt your Naruto, the combo will never get going.

Also remember if your opponent overpowers you, Naruto will just get outright defeated at the end of combat. You don't apply damage one at a time if your leader takes 2 damage for a Outstanding Victory. Remember even if you got the stats at the time, most Jutsu pump up a ninjas stats or lower them, so your buff Naruto can get suprised with a Jutsu attack that wipes him out.

But the combo can work, actually pretty decent.

Well, I hope the official English card is worded better, if that's the case. To me, taking damage and becoming injured are still two very different things.

Ummm no there not. There is no such thing as "taking damage", if something is damaged, it means its been injured.

Naruto cards have no defense value, they don't take any points of damage ever... you simply compare ninja team power. Team that does more power deals damage to opponent's leader, which means he takes an injury.

He meant 'becoming injured' as when you turn one of your own ninja as a requirement for their effect.......

Of course that's true, but to me, it doesn't seem like the opposite is necessarily true. That is, if a Ninja is changed to injured status, does that necessarily mean it was damaged? Specifically, for that PR001 Naruto card, it simply says "you may injure this Ninja" if it's healthy, but it does not say "you may damage this Ninja". That's my main complaint with the card's text.

And anyway, you have the official English text on the card, right, Kyle81? Can you just post that here, since we're basing this off of MykeXero's translation.

Well, I was trying to distinguish a difference between a Ninja being damaged (as a result of battle) and then being injured, and between a Ninja simply being injured without necessarily taking damage (in this case as a result of its own effect).

Exactaly, that was I was speaking of, I think injured would be self damaged and damgage is battle damgage or Jutsu damage done to the ninja

Taking damage and being injured is the exact same thing. Your making it more complicated by creating statuses and effects that don't exist in the game.
