Manga 307

I don't expect anybody to be answering for the next 4hr and 20min,but has anyone seen Manga 307? Crap was Sasuke bein' a jerk. Your thoughts?

Well, all around it was a great, plot moving chapter. But I really dont believe sasuke when he said "I let you live on a whim". He was to the point of killing his best friend for revenge against Itachi. Sasuke means to tell us that after being willing to go to such lenghts to gain power, he just abandoned it on "a whim"?

Theres somthing hes not telling us. Either that, or Kishimoto forgot his own character's motive.

And frankly, I think Sai showed to much emotion to fast. Kishimoto just phailed a potentially great character.

sword looks awesome I totally called it back when everyone was saying it was a "bow" (this was c/p from the NMR mboard where this statement held relevance). The transition from the blade to the hilt reminds me of the complete tsurugi from advent children.

My prediction (remember this), is that Sasuke will either have: obtained the mangekyou sharingan, or taken the sharingan to a completely different level. This I estimate, will occur in this arc. If said prediction comes to pass, I will officially dub naruto, as dbz-2, and lose all hope for kishimoto's oriniallity.

If not, it will continue to be on my top three list right next to GTO and blade of the immortal.

Anyway, the last chapter was good I thought. Sasuke, going down a dark path that he has, is always an interesting one, and even though I like Sasuke as a character I hope kishimoto keeps bringing down it. So many times in Manga and Anime you see the people that don't die or that come back from their dark times to be a better person. Sasuke lives for revenge against his brother, if for some reason he suddenly is pulled from that by Naruto, I'd be a little disappointed myself.

I hope Sasuke continues to fall from grace until there's no coming back. That would definitely drive me on to read (though I'd still read anyway). So to your question, I'd say he's not so much of a jerk, but a could be interesting protagonist. I like where its going, and on a side note I completely agree with you Saigo about Sai. He jumped way to fast to soon. We could have seen some interesting things with him...oh well not every character can be a winner.

it was a fairly good chapter, and fairly fast moving compared to others *cough*. It was interesting, I dislike (hate is such a strong word) Sasuke's new 'threads', but the sword is pretty awsome, (oo i want to do some predicting aswell) Sasuke has reached his maximum, and believes his only way to increase would be to kill naruto and obtain the mangekyou sharingan, or he has obtained it through other means, not revealed to us yet, or he kills orochimaru somehow and obtains it (uhhh yea right to my last one )

You know I hate to say it (because I know it'll feed you Umino-Iruka), but I would like to see his character develop more (Iruka that is), never get to really see him shine more than anything than a father figure to Naruto. Let me take that back a little, I should say he is trying to act like one and kinda is to Naruto. It always seemed in the manga, and especially in the anime that he could be more, but was never flushed out because of the other kids Naruto hanged with.

Can't remember if we've seen him after the 3 year gap, but I do hope his character improved with it *adding more to Umino-Iruka dinner*

back to the posting at hand, I really didn't like how Sasuke's threads looked either, seemed to 'lazy' in my mind. He's seeking revenge against his brother at all costs, going against his friends and village to able to obtain this power. That brings up another point, why is he really lazying about with Orochimaru? I can understand the gaining power and that Orochimaru might know where his brother is, but Sasuke's drive just seems hampered in a resting state.
