set 28 cases and boxes
So i hope im not the only one who was kind of disappointed with the predictability of the supers this set. If someone bought a case, they got 2 of each.. no exception. If you were buying packs at a store and your friend hit a shattered heaven, you had very good odds of getting a tbb with the remaining packs.
Although this minimizes bad boxs this takes away the fun that goes along with opening boxs and packs. For me 3/4ths of the enjoyment when a new set comes out is the chance that I score all this best supers and get the best boxes. Does it work out? nope but I enjoy that. I like not knowing what is in my box even after opening 1 or 2 supers. please tell me opening up a box wouldnt be 10 times more exciting if someone reported getting a box with mifune, tbb, naruto and a super that you wanted for a specific deck type? or a case that had 6 tbb and 6 mifune. will you hit it? probs not but its fun for everybody to think that it could happen. maybe its just me. anybody agree or disagree? |

I think even distribution at the case level is nothing to complain about.
If you like the random element buy individual packs from multiple stores. |

buying packs is expensive as crap, compared to the sixty bucks per box im currently spending. I know that if you buy a case you expect to get every card. but 2 of each is just really boring especially when you have only 3 different kinds of boxes out of 6 total. Why be excited to open the rest when you know whats comming?

It's not just the SRs. I think all the cards are more evenly distributed than ever. Out of my 3 boxes i got 1 of each SR and at least a playset of everything but Sasuke which I got 2 of.
I once bought a case of set 5 and got 5 Toad flame bombs and there was nothing exciting about it, so yeah this new way is great. I buy boxes and cases to get the cards I want, not to get excitement. Last edited by Chidori : 03-15-2013 at 03:28 PM. |

People who have the ability to buy cases are likely very thankful for this format. Makes buying a case truly worth it because there's no doubt. You'll always make back the money you put in since you'll have 2 TBBs, 2 Narutos, 2 Mifunes...hell those alone are near $300 in value.

What you're saying is "getting boxes of crap is fine so long as I get to dream I'll pull a box with 3 TBB". |

statistically speaking if the likelihood of getting a good box is equal to getting a bad one then as each set comes along you will eventually hit that "dream box". Or multiple. Its random chance. I enjoy the ambiguity.. any cards i need but dont have I buy singles lol buying singles is where i want to be sure of what I'm buying.. |
