So the fire meta is going down. I don't want to discuss the list but rather some new tips for the fire game. I know genjutsu is still a thing. Anything else?

Apart from JI decks, what Fire meta? More like Fire + other elements, which is still strong.

with the next set you get a fire starter box which then will give you a direction for fire. same with water.. i predict mill fire and no hand water will make a appearance again. but generally for fire it is fire/x or x/fire... revitalize got slowed down a little bit with the ino to 1 that hurt a bit with that deck. guess giant eagle is in order to come back into that deck to help filter better cards to hand since no longer getting that plus 1 ... sorry i run earth/fire rev why i brought it up . .. you can toss fire into a lot of things and it will be sucessful it picks up for weakness of alot of the non rush elements .. water, wind, earth

fire is still the best mono element XD its the reason that tb decks are so good

As a MONO element Fire is mediocre actually. Warhawk and Dragon Flame are the only things even keeping Fire upright at this point. Fire's early game mission lineup is really lacking compared to every other element which in turn hurts the effectiveness of Backstab and Dragon Flame. And in the late game Dragon Flame can only do so much against the onslaught of things like Tree Spam, Almighty Push, Lion's Mane, TBB, Tetragram, etc.

Honestly, as of Set 28, in terms of MONO elements (not rating synergy with other elements) Fire probably rates 5th. Only Water is potentially worse, and even then I could see arguments.

As a SUPPORTIVE element, Fire of course is still great thanks to said Dragon Flame and Warhawk and Backstab. It just won't have the rest of its own element weighing it down. Fire/X is still solid as hell. But Fire on its own will just not get the job done.
