Most cards are going to be priced by playability, because the more playable something is, the more people are going to want it. Demand Skyrockets, thus the price is adjusted to make maximum profit off of that.

Then you have stuff that is collector fodder, which are priced high for that purpose.

For example, my buddy Kyle has a Void binder. thus, he will need 3 madara just because he is a void card. then you have guys I seen on here that are just Uchiha fanboys and thus, need him for his namesake. Madara (as bad as he is playable wise) will rest comfortable at 15-20 bucks for a couple months.
the only cards I see anywhere at 10 or below are summoning: reanimation, shattered heavens, and Ninja alliance (which is cool cause I need 3 for the deck )

Alright, now that Mifune has its official reveal (with his good art), over/under $50 for final Mifune price.

He will be below. He isn't selling out as fast as TBB. And you don't really need a set of him either.

That's why he isn't selling out as fast, because whereas TBB needs 3 no matter what, most decks only need 1 Mifune. However more people will want Mifune rather than TBB so it becomes this...

Are there three times as many people who want at least 1 Mifune over those who want 3 TBB?

It only makes sense to charge as much as possible for something, so long as people are willing to pay that price. That's why sold out items get a price jump, because it means people want it, and are willing to spend money on it.
I'm pretty sure you just summarized Supply & Demand.
