After a long retreat I am back...mind helping me get the rust off.
Hey guys I've finally made it back to my favorite community and I've been way outta practice, but I know its close to rotation time so I want to hold out on buying sets that will soon ge the axe. Can you guys give me a safe zone on where to start back buying my sets. If it helps any I normally play whatever element Sasuke is in. Last time I played he was between water and fire so I still have both my Water deck and fire decks, Also is wind looking good still?

Also for the record, the starters out are good builds for just hopping back in the game till you can pick up some boxes.
Set 25 has Sand Siblings and Ino-Shika-Cho starters. They pretty much are self explanatory. Set 27 has Pain and Naruto Sage Mode. The pain is a void turn ramp/control type (get out the deva to get other effects) and sage is a toad based deck. If you remember those you'll be okay. Welcome back ![]() |

I'll have to see if I can find those starters but isn't 25 going away or are there cards in them that are staying for a while?

As far as I know, Set 25: Kage Summit and its Sand Siblings/Ino-Shika-Cho starter decks will be rotating out, so I wouldn't suggest buying those if you aren't playing until after rotation (they're also pretty hard to find, due to a too-short printing of Set 25).
Would definitely suggest buying 1-2 of each Set 27 starter decks. Pain and Toads (especially Pain) are really playable in this format, and these are actually really good starters (is it just me, but does anyone else absolutely love the Set 25 and Set 27 starter decks, in that they're actually good?). After that, buy packs/singles of Avenger's Wrath and Hero's Ascension and Set 28. At that point, you'll be pretty much ready to go for the block format (not counting Sets 29 and 30, which have yet to be released). Sasuke is primarily fire now. Avenger's Wrath has some pretty good fire stuff (Izanagi, Sasuke (Susano'o), 6th Hokage, Simulstrike, Itachi, Kakashi, etc.). There's also things in set 27 and 28 like Sasuke [Exhausted], the new Set 28 Sasuke, Jonin's Intervention, Set 27 Kakashi. Ultimately, it's up to you whether singles or packs are your best route, money wise. If you just want to play Sasuke, then probably singles. But if you want a variety of playable decks, then packs are usually best. |
