Just Getting Back Into Things

So I've been living in Japan for the past 3 years and I'm finally heading back to the states soon and i wanted to get back into the game. I've tried to keep up by looking at the new cards from all these sets but I've either lost my touch or just don't know what type of deck to make. I see alot more void cards coming out and I'm guessing that is the way to go but I would prefer to hear from you guys on whats the meta and what would be the route I should take. Thanks for the advice and much appreciated.

Revitalize looks like its still topping events. If you're looking for a simple build, this is the way to go. Basically it involves cards from set 26 and now the Naruto from TP4 to self-mill yourself till about 10-15 cards and utilize a jutsu called Spontaneous Tree Summoning that allows you to win games.

Fire/Lightning to me will always remain strong for they have incredible draw power, jutsu and mission negation. Along with some of the strongest ninjas that are staples; Sasuke (solo attitude), Tsukado, Naruto, Killer Bee, Kakashi (assasinate or 1 of the new Kakashi set 27 since he is being limited to 1). Along with the draw missions of Warhawk, Nice Guy Pose and now Dynamic Duo (set 28). And jutsu's like Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu, Backstab, Simulstrike, Lion Mane and such.

Void/X is pretty cool too, they definitely got a lot more support. Running the new Impure Resurrection ninjas seems pretty cool just not sure how they will make in the long run.

Tailed Beasts are the new things from set 28 too as well but that is going to be an expensive build.

Shimon control is pretty fun and can annoy a lot of people. I played a version and it did well.

** I guess its up to you, what your playing style is and if you wanna play a meta vs anti meta and whatever..idk

preciate the info. money is no option at this point in my life so im not worried about that. you mentioned fire/ lightning.. are you referring that as a dual element deck or mainly soloing each of them out. i will say after looking a TBB and that new sasuke (set 28). make me very interested. I've played all types of decks and did well with them. i guess with all these new add on's such as Revitalize, inherit, sacrifice. i need to do my research. thanks again and ill be posting decks soon so any other input would be much appreciated

im guessing adding this mu and mifune into the decks is a staple from what others have discussed on the threads? for the fire/lightning deck would sasuke(solo) be better or that new duel element sasuke from this recent set?

The new Sasuke is better when there's a deck supporting it. Mangekyo sharingan, flame control sword, amataretsu, backstab, new boyhood kakashi, etc.

1 solo attitude and 2 new Sasuke

There's a reinforcement called danzo that allows you to play him off of solo attitude so you can play your new Sasuke without worrying about havin the same name (Sasuke) on the field

Umm what are you talking about kid mono water hasn't ran very well on its own since No-Hand water? I know I used to play water A LOT. Any water deck will get beat easily by Rev, Tailed Beasts and Fire/Lightning, hell even a puppets variation can beat water at this point.

Until I see a water deck top at Chunins, Jonins or SJCs water is not great on its own. Granted it can run well other elements but not as a mono on its own
