meta discussion
how do you guys choose between JI, revitalize, genjutsu and combos (like mental mill and kabuto). All these decks are consistent and it seems like the difference in game is based mainly on good draws.. I'm tryin' to choose and its a hard decision.

Oh, and The Power of the Trio is an insanely good tutor mission. Kabuto Kombos are fun, but the fun comes too late to really keep up with good decks. Just opinions. |

I build decks in a unique sort of way i'm told. Whatever the meta is, I immediately disregard it. I like to surprise people with what I run and take some chances. Plus, really makes tourneys more fun.
Granted, if it's possible, I can make a sideboard that shifts it more tooowards a meta like deck, for example I can Trun Ba Sing Se into a simplistic stalling revitalize deck, but otherwise I value "did anyone do this before?" as my main goal. |

I tried to be original. My toad decks from before were very unique, but now it's so easy to get blown out on turn 1 that there is little room for creativity.
Half of the meta now is just luck sack a blow out on turn 1. The other half is self mill, stall, and blow your opponent out in one shot mid to late game. I run a combination of both. |
