MA chunnin updates 12/17
Last week's chunnin was postponed due to the Blizzard "Nemo" I cannot attend the second MA chunnin due to work
So in a feeble attempt to liven up the boards I will be doing updates on the event as live as possible. I'll try to get names, decks, and shenanigans up on this post thorough out the day.these guys will have a chance to win this time cuz i'm not there:P j/k My deck is floating in the hands of Veazie so we'll see how he does (he'll scrub my deck sucks lol) there is currently a Magic event going on with a D&D event so getting space for everyone seems to be a slight issue and caused a delay. I am told that there is now enough space for the event and they will be starting shortly. there are 24 participants in the event (if I was able to go with my crew it would have been 29) which one of your favorite MA/NH player's are you rooting for? My top 8 Predictions Jasen Minus (wizkid) ryan Severin (odion.F baby) Thomas Veazie (pyrot53) SC Leslie (??????) Christopher Dominguez (????????) Scott Holbrook (Genre) Alex Blandin (kyubbirasengan) Michael Cancellierli (onewingedangel) two of my predictions ended up playing round 1. Ryan beat Mike C in game 3. Mike unfortunately had to mull down to four and Ryan hit a JI into a baki for the win. (note, ryan also beat Mike in yesterday's chunnin in the top 4) Jesse Freeman takes out veazie round 1. Veazie needs a few rounds to get used to how the deck works and Jesse is a good good player. Uh oh things are starting to look grim for Genre he's topped just about everything for the past forever but a loss to SC Leslie are putting a damper in his chances of topping back to back chunnin's.Veazie's seems to have a hold of the deck at 3-1 to my best knowledge so far it's Genre 3-2 Greg Lenza with mono void 2-1 nobody gave me anymore updates after round 3 ![]() Ryan Severin 3-0-1 Jesse Freeman 2-0 idk but topped. SC Leslie2-0 Jasen Minus 3-1-1 Mike c 1-2 ??? Alex Blandin 3-1-1 currently in round 3 alex and mike C are playing each other... geesh mike c has a tough bracket this tournament. Alex wins ( kyuubirasengan) apparently beacause tech deidara's and mike's inability to mill over Pain. Stay tuned for more updates yo. WE HAVE A WINNER! his first chunnin win and a very skilled player with his verision of American Idle , I'm happy to see him finally win one. JASEN MINUS. Congrats my man! Top 8 Andrew (JI) SC Leslie (JI) Genre (Genrevitalize) Veazie ( Tear's and Rebirth) Jesse Freeman (JI) Ryan Severin ( JI.genjutsu) Jasen Minus (American Idle) Alex Blandin ( Birds of Prey) Predicted 6 of the top 8 not bad. Latest update is all 4 JI decks that entered the event top 8'd and there are A LOT of people on the bubble including Genre who finished 3-2 and is awaiting the results from the current round 5.
latests rumors (again) are that Jasen Minus and alex blanding are also in the top 8. that leaves 2 slots open for some X-2's. Last edited by zbkillaz : 02-17-2013 at 03:26 PM. |

It's funny cuz last week in the same meta (MA) only 2 JI deck's topped.
goes to show how sacky the deck can be. |

JI and ino childhood needs to be restricted or JI in general needs to be banned. Card is fking broken from what i saw.
They played the card to obtain massive advantage and win, or its just a hand cost. Tylar needs to ban JI or restrict it to 1. Card should have never been made or card should not have been in the format it is in. JI + Kakashi is just busted. |
